Need diagram for wires that hook up to heating element on fridgeidaire model LAQE 7011KWO Dryer

Hello. There are black and yellow wires that connect to the heating element. The black comes from the inlet thermal limiter fuse, the yellow comes from the main drive motor. There is always 120 volts at the element. When the dryer is initiated, the motor, using a centrifugal switch, connects another 120v supply across the other side of the element which totals 240 volts and causes the element to heat. This is done intentionally as a safety feature--the element can't heat if the motor isn't running.

Change element in a samung dv665j

Usually, one takes the rear cover off revealing the element area. I doubt if the heating element is burned out. Typically the small thermostat or thermal fuse link blows before the heating element goes. You would have to see the diagram of your model online. Most sites have the exploded parts view of that section online. If you don't have a meter tester you may have to replace all 3. Some models have them all tied into 1 board. This site has video troubleshooting. http://www.repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/How-To-Fix-A-Dryer/8-160-1067262-/Samsung-Dryer-doesn-t-heat-DV665J Samsung Dryer Doesn Heat

Does it have a heating element

Yes, as with all dryers, this unit has a heating element. This site: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Fisherpaykel-Parts/Dryer-Parts/Model-DEGX196010B/3068/0151200/P0606083/00006?blt=06&prst=&shdMod= has a diagram of the dryer including the pair of heating elements. See part 3 in this Dryer Base diagram.

I hope this helps.

I need to change the heating element on my dryer. how do I do this?

The exact process will depend on the model of dryer. I would suggest starting by looking at the assembly diagram for the dryer. You posted the question in the Kenmore section, so assuming that it is correct, you can get these diagrams from the Sears website. You can also order a new heating element there.

Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.
