It's a still camera with video capabilities, but may not have the audio playback. You might need to download it and use either Real Player or Quicktime or MS Media player to hear the audio.
Or there could be a selection in your setup menu: Sound = on or off as the case may be.
But if the abovementioned will not work, you can try to reset the camera and check if you'll have the same problem. follow the steps below
1) Close the LCD monitor to turn off the camera and remove the power supply (battery pack or AC adapter) from the camera, then reattach it. 2) Select [FACTORY PRESET] from the MENU. hope this'll help you. ciao!

Hi,

Pls try:

  1. other audio recording format (disable Dolby);
  2. lower audio resolution (choices are Ultra Fine: 48kHz, 384kbps, Fine: 48kHz, 384kbps, Normal: 48kHz, 256kbps, Economy: 48kHz, 128kbps)
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

If nothing else prove to be corrective, you may have to return the unit for warranty replacement considering that it was just recently purchased.

Maybe you need to install all the application program from the CD/DVD enclosed in your Camera. Or you can use other player other than windows media player,or just download free windows classic media player 6 and you will have great audio ,it has all codecs..

I recommend you to download the player that content multi codecs, the link is here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Media_Player_Classic.htm

Try resetting the unit:

To reset the camera
1) Close the LCD monitor to turn off the
camera and remove the power supply
(battery pack or AC adapter) from the
camera, then reattach it.
2) Select [FACTORY PRESET] from the
MENU.

If still no sound replace it...

Hope that helps........

JVC EVERIO gz-mg330 does not appear as drive

Another solution is to make sure you are using the usb cable that came with the camera. For some reason, if I use any other, the computer won't recognize the camera. It's the one with the magnet. In fact, mine has two magnets on it.
