I have an RS2533SW Fridge , how do you reset the computer to start the coolers , it went out on us and we do not know how to reset , there is light on the lamp but on the lcd display there is just a green underscore on the left side .

call a local repair service they can test it for problems that you nor we can do .

try running with thermistor disconnected if ok replace if no bad cooling unit

Sounds like you just need to do a reset, press and hold the top 2 buttons till it flashes then let go. If you hold it to long it will run a diagnostic mode and may lock up on a blinking light. The blinking light is a trouble indicator for the service tech. It tells them what sensor or heater is faulty or will point them in the right direction. I found a repair manual on the online auction place E b a y that can help you troubleshoot further but have not bought it as of yet. I just purchased my Samsung and was reading some reviews to see what kind of problems i may run in to.

I have a samsung refrigertor rs2555sl and my control panel stopped working after I turned the power off to the house (to install a light fixture elsewhere). There was one green light blinking on the refrigerator temp display.

Hold down the "power freeze" and "power cool" buttons at the same time for at least 8 seconds. This is a self diagnostic program. A number should appear on the refrigerator temp display (1-9)...it will hold for 30 seconds and then the panel should function again.

In my case the number that appeared was "3" which can indicate a multitude of things including a short circuit or power outage (which was it was for me).

it sounds like the refrigerator evap is frozen up causing the compartment to get too hot. shut the unit off and let it thaw out. then take the screws out of the cover to check the stryrofoam on the back side of the cover to see if theres broken spots on it causing the air to bypass the evap causing it to freeze. Theres two screws behind the light cover and two at the very bottom of the cover and two behind the decorative plugs about 1/2 way

have you tried resetting the controller? press the top two buttons in untill the display flashs off AND ONN THEN LET IT ESETR.

You may know this already, but for what its worth. There is a small switch on the bottom vent grill for on/off of light. Check there first.....

check freezer for frost build up and if fan is blowing, check condenser, make sure its clean, and fan blowing, check vents in refrig. make sure no blockage, controls should be in the middle setting, check make sure compressor is running

im taking it that the cooler you refer to is actually a general fridge. if its not working, it is either your th/stat which has not reset or if not, assuming your fridge is an auto defrost, look behind the freezer and locate the timer. you should see a plastic knob plus/minus in the middle of the timer. turn the knob and listen if refrigerator comes on. if not call a tech.
