If you live in the states, and have a Verizon version... you can get them easily on your p[hone... use a program called BitPim... but follow the instructions and dont break your phone.... but if you have a bell version then Bitpim wont work and i guess the company that has bitpim for sale is currently trying to get on that one

You can sign up with your phone model and make, and it'll pick media designed for your phone that you can download. And the best part is, when you sign up. They have a ringtone maker you can use to upload your own music file to, and cut it how you want it, then send it directly to your phone. Hope that helps.

I have wondered the same thing myself and have done a lot of research for it. I don't believe it is possible b/c the music memory is seperate from the actual phone memory. Ringtones are in the phone memory and the music you sync to the phone is in the music memory. If they were one and the same you'd be able to create ringtones out of the music you sync to your phone.
