First push the lock button once, then press the semi-cirsle button for 2 secs. Vehicle starts until brake pedal is touched without key in ignition or after ten minutes. during the first ten minutes you can repress the semi-circle button this will start another ten minute cycle, but after that you have to start with the key. Just jump in insert key and go.

How do I disengage the alarm system in a 2001 Chevy Tahoe

To disable the alarm system in a 2001 Chevy Tahoe, try the following steps:
  1. Close all doors and windows.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position.
  3. Within 10 seconds, press the lock button on the driver's door five times. The alarm system should turn off.
Note: The above steps assume that your 2001 Chevy Tahoe has a factory-installed alarm system. If it has an aftermarket alarm system, the steps to disengage it may be different.

I changed the car battery on my 07 chevy tahoe and both remotes are not working any more? do I have to go to the dealer in order to program them.

No. turn the key to the on position (not run). In your driver Information Center you should have an option to program your keyless entry. Access this option through your steering wheel controls. There are two buttons. One is a page button and the other is a select button. It will guide you to the reprogramming just make sure you do both remotes at the same time unless you only have one remote. When you are prompted to begin programming hold the lock and unlock buttons at the same time on the first remote and wait for it to program. Then do the second remote the same way. When you are done turn the key off then start the engine and confirm they work.

Remote auto start will not start a 2007 chevy suburban ltz

If the keyless remote works to unlock and lock the doors, then it should start the engine. In order to use this feature, you have to lock the doors (make sure that all door lock by pushing the lock button twice) with the remote by pushing the lock button, then you hold down the start button on the remote for 2 to 3 seconds and it should start. You can start and stop the engine with the remote 2 or 3 times with the remote, after that it will no longer let you use the remote start until you physically get in the car and start the engine to reset the system. Check your driver information center options using the steering wheel controls. There is an option to enable and disable the remote start option.

I have a factory starter on my chevy malibu 2006. Only one remote would start the car starter. then both stopped unlocking and locking the car but they both open the truck. Now the remote started does not...

Usually with remotes you turn the key for the ignition to the off position, then turn the ignition key eight times without starting it, on the 8th time leave the key on the forward position then push any button on your remote that should fix the remote problem.

How do I reprogram two remote starters for my 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe?

on the right of the speedo cluster, press the second button down on that set, continue to push until you see relearn remote. once you see relearn push and hold the check button, which is the bottom button on the same set of buttons. Hold it for about 5 seconds it will say relearn active. Then you hold down the lock and unlock at the same time on the remote for about 5 seconds, you will then hear a beep. Do the same with the other remote. Then its done! to close out just push the same button you started with, second from the top.

96 Chevy Tahoe door lock problem

Hello Scullen27,

While I vigorously recommend owners wanting to work on their own vehicles should purchase the FACTORY WORKSHOP MANUALS... for one time little jobs there are a FEW good alternatives... that ae also FREE.

BBB Industries
maintains an very excellent technical database
for popular USA market vehicles:
TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS
and Circuit wiring diagrams
(
registration is required... as these are real documents)

A fuse would seem to be indicated ...
if your
control is sound a relay operation... but the
REAR-HATCH is not cooperating... THAT WOULD
be the place to start,

Hope this helps...

Remote starter does not work but will unlock and lock doors.

depending on your alarm which it sounds like a viper model maybe? on my 02 you have to incorporate a factory alarm bypass module in order to be able to start the truck, they run about 100.00 bucks and have to be profssionally installed. The truck wont start because the computer isnt recieving the proper starting sequence due to the factory alarm
