Question about Black & Decker 19" Electric Lawnhog Mulching Mower with Rear Bag

Lawn hog nut won't tighten

You left someone an answer about tightening the nut on a B&D lawn hog. I checked the site you linked to, and it doesn't have lawn mowers. Can you give me some more info? It looks like a square plastic washer broke or something. I can't find any schematics or parts or anything.

Yes. No lawn mowers. At least not that I could find.

  • kswans1 Jul 19, 2008

I found it! It's right there on Dewalt's site, which BlackAndDecker.Com links to. Took a long time to find because it's not listed under Lawn Hog. In case someone else needs it, here's the link:

There's an owners manual. It says to use a 2 foot 2x4 to hold the blade in place. I think the deal is that the plastic spacer is damaged. I'm not yet sure how holding the blade in place is going to help...

I need a diagram for the timing belt on my castel garden 20/122

pauly46_0.gifpauly46_1.gif hi there winger1886

pauly46 here

with 20/122 the blade timming must with one blade vertical and one blade horizontal
doesnt matter which one but as long as there is 90 degrees between blade as the rotate
in the picture the r/h blade rotates anticlockwise and the l/h blade rotates clockwise

the picture for belt / blade timming is straight forward - loosen tensioner rod and back it off completely , loosen 2 x bolts under the two toothed pulleys and remove the 2 belt guide/ stoppers from the l/h side - place both blades in the rqd position ( you may need someone to hold other blade in rqd position - fit the belt onto pulleys as in the diagram- continually check while fitting that timming has not moved from where you placed them ( they have to be 90 degrees from each other ) and then tighten the tensioner rod to hold position - rotate by hand recheck timming - if good loosly fit guide the 2 guide stoppers to l/h side and place 3.5 kg of tension at the middle point of the longest run of timmed belt ( belt should only deflect 10 mm with 3.5 kg of tension )
once tensioned tighten the 2 bolts under the toothed pulleys and tighten loc nut on adjuster
tighten the 2 stopper / guide nuts

in the picture the left hand blade is a l/h thread undo it right and tighten it left

the blade on the right is a normal thread left loose - righty -tighty

cheers hope it helps

How do i adjust my seat

Lift the seat (tilt it forward) On the bottom you will see two nuts that sit in two slots. loosen those nuts and slide the seat forward or backwards as needed.
Tighten the nuts.
If you send me the model number (on the label under the seat) I will show you where to get the operator's manual for that tractor.
I'll be glad to answer any other questions?

How to get a steering wheel off a 210 john deere, take the top nut off but it still wont come off.

Is there 2 small holes on either side of the center shaft where the nut was? If so you will probably need a puller. The 2 holes might have to be threaded for bolts. If not put the nut back on & tighten it to be flush with threads @ the top & have someone pull up on both sides of the steering wheel & hit the nut with a brass hammer this should loosen the shaft in the wheel which is most likely tapered. Make sure no threads are above the nut as they will be messed up when hitting w/hammer & you will not be able to remove the nut afterwards.
