I recently bought a Panasonic DMP BD85 Blueray player. I have been trying all afternoon to connect it to my home wireless network and am about to pull my hair out. All of the network indicators say that I am connected and that the connection 'passed' every test. I even downloaded new firmware. No dice. After all that, I pressed the Viera Cast buton and received the error message: "Cannot connect. Please try again later or confirm Network Connection and Settings." I have trouble believing the network connection and setings are wrong after I consistently received messages saying they were correct and functioning. Help! I just want to explore my new product and connect to Netflix!!

I pulled up the specifications for the bd85 Blu-ray player. It says below that it has an rj-45 network connection. That means, although it says that it is WiFi ready, that it requires an additional WiFi Adapter of some sort to operate with Wifi. Or you could connect it directly to your router or switch using rj-45 cable.

Wifi blueray player won't connect to the internet, just bought the netgear600 and am having problems

Most of the wifi blueray players will really say "wifi ready" meaning you have to buy an adapter for the wifi part to work at all. What blueray player is it?
