My Amana side by side has a serial number of 36278. Very little water from the door, and hollow cubes.

Sounds like the screen filter in your water line is stopped up. It's behind the fridge where the water supply comes in. Take the line off and flush it out and see how much pressure you have. The filter is just before the water goes into the water inlet valve.

WATER WILL NOT DISPENCE FROM WATER DISPENSER

Your water line could be frozen in the door. You can disconnect the line under the unit before it goes into the door at the bottom hinge. Push the dispenser button and see if it comes out there. If it does leave the door open till it thaws. Covering the opening with a blanket will prevent the loss of cold in the freezer. .

disconnect the line to the water dispenser at the water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in and try the dispenser. if you hear the valve work but water doesn't come out, the valve is bad. If you don't hear the valve, the dispenser switch is bad

No Water

With out knowing your model of Amana it will be harder to locate the problem. It is rare that both water control valves would stop working at the same time unless you had a crimp or a line blockage feeding water to the refrigerator. First I recommend you turn the water supply off to the rear. Second I want you to disconnect the water feed to the water control valve on the rear near base and lean the line into a bucket so you can have the supply line turned back on just to make sure there is no blockage or crimp in the feed line. Third if you have a self piercing tap valve to supply the water that may be the problem because the hole is small and easy to collect rust or other normal particles in the line. Next you need to check the voltage at the water control valve side for the dispenser. Have someone press dispense water while a voltage meter is connected to the dispenser side female plug. And last of all the door switch may be the only problem. It is designed that when the door is open the dispenser panel is off. If when shut the switch does not make a connection, the dispenser pane, ice maker and auger motor are turned off. Let me know what you find, Sea Breeze

Amana ARS2665AW side by side ice maker not filling

Is the freezer cold enough? Should be close to 10 degrees.
Is there water or ice in the ice mold? If not put water in it and see if it dumps the ice after it’s frozen. If there is ice, lift the cut off arm and let it drop to see if it will start.
If it does dump the ice but don’t refill with water.
Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

Water dispenser not working

I have a Hitachi R-M800GM.

When i operate the water dispenser, water flows out from the dispenser [not strong flow]. There is also water flowing out at the bottom of the freezer door [hinge area]

I think the line running inside the freezer door may have come loose? If so, how to reattach it? Do u have any layout drawings of how the hose is being connected.

Please help.

Thanks,

Rick

A have an Amana Model ARS2664BW refrigerator/freezer that is pump

Usually the water connection and the electrical connections on the water valve are different size however, this must not be the case on yours.

The water line to the icemaker should come out the back/top of the ref. so you could just follow it down to the valve.

Set your meter to 110 volts and have someone push the water in the door while you check the connection at the valve. This should tell you which is water in the door and which is icemaker.

Amana Icemaker not working

Sign guy, you have a bad water valve on your fridge. It's allowing a very small amount of water to bypass it and enter into the freezer section Ice Maker fill tube where it freezes. (I always pull those fill tubes out through the back of the fridge and run them under hot water, then blow through them to ensure that it's clear.) You'll need a new valve assy. for it. Open the fridge door and find the data tag, get the model number off of it and call your local appliance parts place. It'll be a dual coil valve assembly.
