Help Pls. Toshiba 310CDT

I have a toshiba 310cdt, nokia data suite 3 and a Nokia 6150. the problem is
I cannot get the two to communicate over Infrared. The infrared port works
but not with my phone.
Please help before I throw my laptop out the window.

Get a cable, j/k, well maybe not. I remember reading somewhere that the ir
on the 6150 is proprietary and is not Irda compatible, which is on your
computer. Correct me if I'm wrong.
