I have a Canon A75, which is 6 years old. The on/off button is getting harder to operate. I am required to push very hard to turn the camera on. A slight push is all that is needed to turn the camera...

Well since the camera is kinda old you cant really do anything about just be happy it turns on and off maybe the on button will get better as time goes on

My camera shows card locked. I don't know how I did that. canon power shot a520. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Take out your memory card from the camera and then inspect a small or tiny switch. This is the card lock. You need to move it the other way around to enable write back on the memory card.

Hope this helps you out.

Black screen problem with Canon PowerShot SD 750

Did you accidentally press the DISP button on the back of your camera? This manually turns the screen on and off to save batteries. Try pressing this button one more time to see if it turns the screen back on.

My Power button isnt working

There could be several thing that could cause this problem like a bad lens. the battery might have to be left out of the camera for 24 hr to discharge the battery, a damaged main board. a defective power button. try taking out the memory card to see if that fixes it. repairs on this unit can start any where from 65.00 and up. goto www.digitalcamrepair.com if you need repair service.

I cant set my self timer

On the menu wheel, it's the one on the bottom that looks like a clock. In picture mode, press down to activate it, press the shutter button and picture will be taken in 10 sec.

Zoom won't work

I have had the exact same problem develop with the A530- now twice!

The first time I had to send it back to Canon to fix it. According to the repair summary, what they replaced was, well, the entire control board...not many things breaking can cause the entire zoom/buttons to stop functioning aside from a control board malfunction of some sort.

Anyways, Canon fixed the camera, everything was hunky dory.

For six months. Then the problem developed again. When the same problem occurs twice in a row without any warning whatsoever, that's when I start getting annoyed and consider buying another camera.

So at least in my case, the solution to the problem was that it had to go back to Canon for repairs. I had an extended warranty on my camera, so I can't say how much it will cost to repair the problem. If it happens again like it did in my case...consider buying another camera.
