Question about Dell Inspiron E1705 Notebook
Hi I got tricked into downloading a part of anti virus 2009 and now it is just constant annoying pop ups and I can't get it off of my computer and my Kaspersky isn't really working good. What do you suggest I do to remove this anti virus???? i downloaded the anti spycheck on my computer--paid for it. I think i downloaded a virus instead of virus protection. I paid for it on line, but all it does is constantly pop up on my computer all day long. Can u. help me? i purchased the anti virus 2009 professional to try and clean up my laptop. however i haven't received a registration number nor an activation number.even though it says its activated, i cannot seem to get it to pop up when i click on it from my desktop. nothing happens.
This is known as a non intrusive advertisement trojan, and it's near impossible to get rid of. The reason is that when this invades your machine it places several inactive copies of itself throughout the computer. When you stop one, the others are basically notified, and one or two more will open and leave several more, but not all of them will open. After a couple of months the number is exponential. Most anti viruses won't find them because they are non intrusive, laying dormant, or are in files that aren't scanned on a regular basis, ie... picture files, screen savers, music, etc... The only sure way that I've found to get rid of them is to completely wipe the hard drive, reformat, and reinstall the operating system.
