I have the same problem.. I keep having to turn mine off and on.  It finally gave out and I had to have the compressor replaced...  Anyone have idea why this is happening.  This is the second one that I have been through.

It sounds to me like your fan cycling switch is sticking while the unit is cycling off (fans). When this happens your condenser does not have the ability to remove the heat from the refrigerant which in turn causes the compressor to load heavy. This creates a very high pressure condition on the high side. When this happens go outside and see if the condenser fans are running.

Hope this helps You

I'm not sure of a jumper wire to cut, but one of the first things is to clean out the dust that has accumulated on the electronics. You can blow out the back with compressed air or disassemble the TV case and dust it. Sometimes a layer of dust can cause excessive heat to build and shut off any type of overload circuit. Good luck!

I spilt milk on my samsung laptop I shut the power off and wondering what is the best way to dry it

Most likely when the laptop dries out the milk residue will stop the keyboard keys from working properly. Depending upon how much milk has been spilt the milk may have penetrated to the motherboard and caused more damage.
Place the laptop in a warm area for several days.
If the laptop boots up properly but the some of keyboard keys don't work then a replacement keyboard may fix your problem.
Keyboard replacement maybe available from this WEB site.

I have just bought a new Samsung Fridge and have plugged in and set the temperature controls for both the fridge and freezer, but it is not getting cold. What is wrong?

First make sure the unit has at least two inches of clearance in the rear.

Also this is a rather large piece.. at least ten cubic feet larger than the average fridge. It should take about 3 - 4 hours to get to the desired temps. It will take about an hour for it to begin to get cold ..and 3 - 4 more to drop to where it will be ready.

If you filled it with anything warm..or room temp.. add more time.

I scanned the owners manual..it does have a power cool setting.. but it is probably best to just give it a few hours.

Best of luck!

The fridge is warm but the freezer is cold

Possible clogging of the air path from the blower unit where there can be frost build up blocking the flow. This is due to failure of the auto defrost timer, thermostat or the heater. Shut down for some time and then restart after 8 hours , if it works well the fault is confirmed.
Please check these from the panel side.

It means, someone set the timer to start the unit after one hour. To cancel, simple remove battery from remote and reset it. And also power of the unit and reset it. Now start your unit with remote.

TV goes off intermittently

sounds like an intermittent shut down which is heat related. some part , maybe one stuck on a heatsink is warming up and running too much current triggering shutdown.
to find it you can tell what is shutting down with a voltmeter, or you can heat suspected parts with a blow dryer to speed the shutdown .. or freeze spray to see if it goes beyond your shutdown time.

Samsung RL36SBMS keeps cutting out, it runs for a few hours the stops and gets warm if i turn it off and on again at the panal at the front it will start working for a while? any ideas?

This is not a full solution, but I'll tell you what I did. Somewhere along the way, something worked.

First, I defrosted for about 48 hours. I turned it on, and the same thing happened, as if it was broken.

I took off the back panel (and also the support for the ice rack) mostly. I got all but the top bit off, so it hinged on the top (I was afraid of breaking the plastic. I checked that there was no ice around. I spun the fan, and wiped the grooves where the air flows (to clean it off a little). I put everything back together. It was tricky making sure the wires on the left did not get caught.

Bizzarrely, having disassembled and reassembled everything, it all started working again as if there was no problem.

Incidentally, the blinking light under the "5" seemed to indicate it was in test mode. I tried to somehow get it out of that by holding down buttons for 8 seconds or so, but that did not seem to work.

If this or something else works for you, please do post, but at least this worked for me, and it is worth a shot before buying a new fridge.

Incidentally, I have read enough to know that I will not buy a Samsung fridge again.
