I can't reset my Zen...

My player is stuck in Docked mode, so I've been trying to reset it... but it's just not happening. x__x Still stuck.

Depending on your model you may be able to remove the battery without too much trouble. Please reply with your model and i can probably tell you how to remove the battery. That will definitely shut it down (and hopefullly the next time you start it everything will be fine).

If you don't feel like doing that, just wait for the battery to run out of power.

The next time you start it you should update your player's firmware. If this keeps happening ship it back to creative (http://www.creative.com/support) if it is under warranty.

The screen says "Docked, please wait". It says

When this happened to me with my Zez I was able to reset it by pushing the reset button (located in a little hole next to the dock on the bottom of the unit) with a straightened paper clip or other small object capable of fitting in the hole for a few seconds until the unit fully resets.
If that doesn't work you can try putting the unit in to recovery mode to reset it by doing this:
  1. Detach the Zen Sleek player from your computer, and ensure that the unit off.
  2. Connect the power supply to the player (Optional, unless the battery is very low).
  3. Hold down the Play/Pause button, and then insert a paper clip into the Reset hole underneath your player, beside the data/power connector. reset_sleek.jpg
  4. Remove the paper clip from the Reset hole. The Rescue Mode screen will then appear.
  5. After the recovery mode has started, release the Play/Pause button

Stuck in "docked" mode

Try switching off the MP3 player by removing the battery. Replace the battery and then switch on the player.

Zen won't charge and continually rebuilds library unsuccessfully

buy a new battery, or try cleaning the connections dist is a big problem at small devices like this...you your vacume cleaner, but BE CAREFUL!!!

I had the same problem with zen V stuck in docked without usb - and the reset-button worked like a charm!

You need to reset the Zen. Push a pin into the reset switch found on the bottom left side of the device.

Zen mp3 player not working.

I located a reset on the mp3 player and used it by inserting a paper clip in the little tiny reset hole. Fixed the problem, but trying to locate the reset hole is no small feat, a magnifying glass would probably be useful.

My zen is stuck on docked mode

I had the same problem. Have you tried a soft reset - paper clip into small hole on the side with the on/off slider. Hols it in for about 5 seconds.

My Creative Zen Frozen in Docked Screen

Hello,

I ran the recovery tool with my zen connected to the computer and it changed from being in a docked state to updating firmware, after it had done this it worked fine again.
