No Windows Vista is not supported. The company was running into too many legal issues.

Check this forum thread for a link to some great alternatives.

Yeah, I tried it out once but it seemed too slow. I prefer to use DVDFab or DVD Shrink myself.

    Glad I could help.

I could not upgrade neither windows XP, Windows 7 of this Product Model: GT5662. Would you assits? Thanks.

Hello kelvinvu, according to the information that I gathered from this computer model, it has Windows Vista 32 bit home premium installed on it. Windows XP is an older operating system so you can't "upgrade" to it. You could however install a fresh copy (more likely completely erasing all your previous information on vista and data files) or you could upgrade to Windows 7. Since you are using "Windows Vista 32 bit home premium", you have to upgrade to "Windows 7 32 bit home premium" or better. So if you were trying to "upgrade" to Windows 7 Home Basic, it will not allow that since it considers that a downgrade in the Operating System. You should actually be able to pop in the Windows 7 Home Premium CD while vista is running and start the upgrade process pretty painlessly that way. Just access the CD and walk through the menus for upgrading Vista to Windows 7. As a reminder, you must use the 32 bit discs. If you try and use the 64 bit discs (a different operating system as far as windows is concerned) you will have to go through the same process of installing a new version of windows (not upgrade). I hope this has solved your specific problem kelvinvu, have a great day!

My friend bought a new dell laptop & got vindows vista home premium for free when i wanted install that vista in my pc it installed on my pc bt now it is not activating with my friends vista's...

Hi,
I assume you are using the Vista disk that came in with the system. Even though you can see a product key on your friends computer, It would not work on your own computer because that product key is intended only for that DELL computer. The windows Vista that your friend has is an OEM copy of the operating system. The product key should match the Hardware of the OEM computer for it to work.
I suggest you get a genuine copy of the operating system for your self.
Hope this helps.

I have a legal copy of 321 studios and need to install it on another computer. However the process requires, internet connection (to a defunct company), Phone call (to a defunct co.) or orginal computer...

If you have legal copy then you can find serial number for registered it.
You can get it from disk cover or disk surface.
Then you can enter that serial number when you install software it ask for serial key so it registered.
But if you are unable to get serial key then drop an email to this software manufacturer web sites supports or login with id and password on that web sites then you can get serial key for register it without internet.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

Need a universal password for DvD Xcopy Xpress have my orignal license ID and password and can NOT get program to work

I suggest you contact the company here - they have a log in for genuine customers, they will be able to assist you.

A word of warning - are you sure you have a genuine copy? From their website...

Since DVD X Copy was banned for sale in 2003, consumers have looked for an alternative DVD copying program to backup their movies, and DVDXCopy.com continues to rank and update new copying products and versions as they are released into the market. The latest rankings direct you to the best copying, burning and ripping software programs. DVDXCopy.com has compiled a list from leading software review sites, software developers, blank disc, player and burner manufactures, and of course direct feedback from thousands of consumers.

DVD burning software titles vary greatly in terms of burning speed, features and ease-of-use. DVDXCopy.com's rankings include detailed product reviews on the industry's top rated disc burning technologies. The reviews also include assessments on each publisher's quality of customer & technical support, frequency and cost (of any) of software updates as well as each program's compatibility with the latest operating system technologies. DVDXCopy.com has tested over 50 software titles with a minimum of 100 test backup sessions per title. The results of this rigorous testing and analysis are posted above and are updated frequently.

A word of CAUTION: As stated above, authentic DVDXCopy software products are no longer being sold anywhere.
Many websites are selling fake DVDXCopy Software and fake 321 Studios products for $29 and under together with license codes and a separate free "activation server update" file or similar "patch" file, CD or DVDXCopy crack. These are not genuine DVDXCopy products, but rather cracks that destabilize your computer system and will not function properly.

Authentic 321 Studios software should ONLY require a license ID and password to activate.

If you are experiencing operating system failure or other technical issues relating to an "activation server file", "patch" or "activation CD", contact the seller directly for an immediate refund as this indicates a cracked version of the product. Beware of any sites that continue to sell any version of DVD X Copy Platinum (including version 4.0.3.8 or later) and that "guarantee" activation.

Software products purchased from such sites are not authentic, not eligible for support or updates and should be returned for a refund. Are you looking for an updated version of DVDXCopy Platinum? Click here: dvd copy software.

Can't clean install.

If you have a system that requires the manufacturer's proprietary device drivers, you will most likely have to return the system to it's original configuration using the restore CD, and then upgrade. However, there's no guarantee Vista will even be able to use the device drivers of the original system configuration. After you restore your system, check the manufacturer's web site for new Vista drivers. Unfortunately, Vista drivers for older systems may not be available at all.

Error -need to re-install the operating system

Insert your Windows Vista Basic CD into the CD ROM drive and restart your computer.

It will autoboot from the CD and you can reinstall Vista Basic.

Should you have further problems don't hesitate to give more details.
