Start by turning off the car. Locate the main fuse box under the dashboard of the passenger compartment of your Nissan.
Pull the cover down to open and towards you to remove it. Read the inside panel of the fuse box to figure out the location of the fuse you must replace.
Use the fuse puller inside to remove the appropriate fuse. Look at the wire in the middle of the fuse to see if it's burnt.

I run into the snag, there are about 7 fuses that look fine but I get nothing on the test light, neither side. These fuses are my high and low beams for passenger and driver, ARL, rear defog and heated side mirrors.

The headlamps fuse's get battery voltage from low beam relay an high beam relay which are controlled by the BCM - body control module .
