We have had the same problem with our EasyShare for over a year and finally bought a new camera. The pic looks great on the screen then when we take it, it is extremely dark. Flash is working; camera on auto setting, etc. Did you find a solution?

Kodak Easyshare DX7630 Can't Tranfer Pictures

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa or Kodak's.

My kodak easyshare dx7630 will not power on or I don't know how, can you please tell me how

I found instructions online here: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:YS5DhgIqJHEJ:resources.kodak.com/support/pdf/en/manuals/urg00230/DX7630_GLB_en.pdf+kodak+easyshare+dx7630&cd=4&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&source=www.google.com
It says the following: While pressing the Mode dial lock, turn the Mode dial from Off to Auto .
The Power ring glows green. The camera screen turns on. The Ready light blinks green while the camera performs a self-check, then turns off when the camera is ready.
To turn off the camera, turn the Mode dial to off.
Hope that helps.

I have an EasyShare DX7630 that will not accept my reader cards. It keeps saying they need formatting and then will not format. Any ideas?

Have you used the cards in this camera before?
So me cameras cannot handle bigger cards unless there was a firmware upgrade.
If the cards worked before, try to format the cards in the computer and then in the camera.
MAKE SURE to format the cards in the camera before taking any photos.

My Kodak EasyShare M1033 will not auto-focus. I was using it on vacation with no issues for 5 days and all of a sudden it won't focus. I did online chat with the Kodak helpdesk but he had no clue. This is...

Try to set the camera on auto mode
make sure that the flash is also set in auto
take pictures in different lightning condition out door and in door
if the problem still persist its either the lens assembly or the camera sensor is defective

Dark pictures from kodak cx7430

Is your camera set to auto mode? I'm not sure if the CX7430 has manual settings or not, but try making sure its on auto.
Its possible the lens or the CCD (the device responsible for actually taking the photo) is going bad.

This guy - Darntoothysam has a CCD assembly as a low cost fix, 15 dollars.

Kodak dx7630 Dark Photos

first of all, this is not a solution. i think your camera's problem almost same with mine. i think your inner lens of your camera isn't totally opened, and it is same with my camera, which is cannot opened at all, maybe you dropped it or exposed it to water. if you go to kodak web site they suggest that you must take it back to the factory.
