1st started when machine wouldn't drain right and clicking sound. finally after checking pump/cleaned out the area and ran a load of sheets with no problem. then went to do another load (a little heavier) and fine until drain and clicking sound seemed worse. when pressing spin and drain that didn't really work. like the machine couldn't get going. didn't drain /got clothes out but with a family of 6 i need this machine to work only about 3 yrs old. just doesn't sound right (grinding sound?) . PLEASE HELP.

Well, the easy part from your description is getting the clothes back out of the washer. First unplug the washer. Next, on the lower front panel at the bottom, there are 3 #20 torx screws that need to be removed. While this is not a common screw for most house holds, you can find a screwdriver for them at most hardware stores. Once you've removed the screws, let the lower panel come down. From there you can reach up inside the washer on the right hand side. to where you door latch is. This is the back side of the black square hole you could see when the washer door was open. (about the 3 o'clock position on the door) As you are placing your hand there, you will find a mechanisim. (again this is your door latch that holds the door shut when you have a load of wash in there) At the bottom of this mechanisim there is a tab (it will usually feel like a small plastic circle since you can't see in very easily). Pull on this tab to manually release your door.

As far as the clicking noise? That's a bit tougher. Sometimes, just manually releasing the door and leaving the machine unplugged for 2 1/2 minutes will reset it. I do need some further information. Does the clicking noise hapen once or several times? If you push down on the top of the machine in the center about 4-5 inches from the rear while it is clicking does you machine start working again? What was your origional problem that made you check the pump?

If just resetting it works, please just go ahead and close this out. If not, please return all of the answers to the questions here to help you beter isolate the problem.

Unfortuneately, while you did answer what origionaly happened, I see no mention of whether or not the test of pushing on the top center worked, so I will have to assume it didn't.

From the new information you've provided, it sounds like you have a pump problem. The pump runs at the begining of the cycle (the noise before the wash) and again when it tries to drain. Since you know how to clean out the trap on the washer, I would first recommend you follow those steps again. Now that you have the water drained out, check to the right hand side there is a hole. Try getting your finger in there to feel for any forign objects that passed beyond the trap. If you can't feel anything, try the following steps. I will need you to remove the pump. First start by removing the # 20 torx bit screw at the botom center of the pump. once that is out, slide the pump forward and lift it up. There are 2 hoses attached to the back of the pump. Both have the same style of clamps holding them on. Squeeze the clamps together using a pair of pliers and while squeezing, slide the hoses off. Now on the right hand side of the pump you will see 2 small wires going into it. There is a cover over where they enter. Hook your fingers over the botom right hand side of this cover and using your thumb on top of the pump to leverage, lift with your fingers. Underneath there is a connector with a tab sticking out of it. Push down on the tab and slide the connector out. Now the pump is free. Turning it over, look down the smaller of the 2 holes with a flash light. is there anything wrapped up in there? Does the paddel wheel looking part turn freely? While I don't want to have you running out and purchasing a replacement pump either online from the manufacture or from a local appliance parts store, this is my best guess from the information you've provided as to where the problem lies. If these steps don't take care of it, just message me back.

I need to the know what is the problem when F02 shows up on the whirlpool front loader washer model wfw92005qoo, this code is not on the chart sheet

F02 is "Long Drain".

Essentially this means that the water is taking too long to empty. Almost certainly a blocked empty pump filter (I think the filter is behind a little door on the bottom right on this machine).

Locate the filter, clean and replace. All will be well

Kenmore front loader not draining.

Hi, UNPLUG the washer and shut off the water. Remove the lower front panel and you can access the water pump. You will need a wet/dry vaccuum to **** up the water as you open the sump cap on the pump. Spmetimes you can lower the drain hose into a bucket and get water out. Once the water is removed, open the cap and see if the filter is plugged as well as the pump inlet/outlet ports. This is common. If there are no obstructions, check voltage to the pump. it should get 120V.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Kenmore front loader washer model 11042822201 drain and spin

Based on what you said about clicking noise from pump and pump getting hot (this pump is liquid cooled-sealed) I would recommend replacing the pump first then the control board. Board is located on top right front corner, not inside console area, simply slide the top back to see this. unit slides back to unmount. however as I said before this code did not exist and usually means bad board and this is common on whirlpool made machines. you do not need buy this from sears, use sears for part numbers these are whirlpool numbers.

Trying to figure out Cu. ft. capacity

hi wanda, most top load whirlpool units, they make the sears kenmore models, are around 3.0 cubic feet.
its not that important for a top loader, but when going to a front loader thats how they rate them.
what i would recommend is you buy a unit that will do the laundry that you will need to do for the next 15 years.
what i mean is if you have 2 or more young children, that you will be doing laundry for the next 15 years, then a full size front loader would do you good. size 3.5 c/f or larger, like a whirlpool he4 or he5.
if it is just for 2 people then a smaller unit would be better, like a whirlpool duet or sport model.
the reason for the choice is a front loader needs to be filled up for it to work properly. doing smaller loads in a front loader will cause them to shake and not work as well.
now be ready as the new washers will cost about 1,000 bucks.
another suggestion for 2 people would be the whirlpool cabrio top loader. i like them alot and they have very few parts to fail and have a good reliability.
good luck and happy shopping.
p.s. remember sears will match prices and give you 10% off the best price!!
