Dear Boogerz:

Please log on the bios screen and if you still see the green line it could be a hardware issue.
if you see the green line for the movement you start your laptop it could be hardware issue.

If it is a hardware issue you might need to contact the laptop manufacturer so they will replace if it is in warranty.

Regards

Mohammed.

You have installed graphics drivers which are not compatable with your laptop. Use the disks that came with it and reinstall the original drivers, windows update might have installed one that is not suitable

Acer monitor has green lines on the scren

Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screens use less energy and display a clearer picture than the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) displays that preceded them. These new LCD screens now dominate the computer monitor market. From time to time, however, pixels can become stuck and a green line can display on the screen. Removing this line is sometimes possible without sending the screen to the manufacturer for expensive repair.

Locate the pixels that are stuck on the screen. Download a free screen repair software program, such as UD Pixel or JScreenFix. Run the software and allow it to find and attempt to repair the stuck pixels. Turn off the LCD monitor. Apply the damp cloth directly over the stuck pixels and use a gentle pressure to spread the liquid within the screen.

Hp pavilion dv7-4165dx black screen

A blacked-out screen doesn't necessarily indicate a broken monitor.
If the computer has run out of charge or is in hibernation or sleep mode,

if the screen is too dark, or if the display cable has come disconnected from the motherboard, the screen may appear black or fail to turn on.

To fix a blacked-out laptop screen, troubleshoot the screen settings, check the LCD connector and see if the computer is awake and receiving power.

Touch the touchpad or move the external mouse to see if the computer is asleep or hibernating. If the computer fails to respond, press "Enter" on the keyboard.

Press the power button if the screen remains black.

Confirm that the power indicator light, found at the front of the computer or above the keyboard, is glowing solid green or blue.

Confirm that the power adapter is plugged into the computer and into a wall outlet. Confirm that battery indicator light is glowing solid green or blue.

Hold down the "Fn" key. Press the up-arrow to see if the screen brightness increases.
Some computers also use the "F6" or "F7" keys to increase screen brightness.

Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off the laptop.
Remove the AC adapter from the computer, close the screen, and then turn the PC over.

Slide the battery latch to eject the battery. Pull the battery out of its compartment.

Turn the computer back over, open the lid, and insert the edge of a flathead screwdriver or other flat, solid object beneath the bezel above the keyboard.

Wedge the edge of the keyboard bezel off of the top cover.
Work your way along the edge of the keyboard bezel to loosen it.
Pull the bezel off the laptop.

Trace the cable coming from the laptop screen to the connector found beneath the bezel. Reconnect the display cable to the motherboard if the cable has come loose from the connector.

Line up the tabs on the bezel with the slots along the top of the keyboard. Insert the right edge of the bezel into the gap above the keyboard, and then push the bezel back in place.

Turn the computer back on. If the laptop screen is still blacked out, connect an external monitor to the video port on the side of the PC to confirm that the video card isn't defective.

If the external monitor works, the LCD screen could be broken.

If the monitor doesn't work, the motherboard or video card might need to be replaced.

Hope this helps

My laptop has lines and blotches on the screen. Can't tell if it's loading or not. Is it fried?

Try hooking your laptop up to a monitor from a desk top computer and see what happens. If you still see the lines, etc... you have a problem with your video display card/driver, if not, the laptop screen is bad or needs repair. You may be able to find a used laptop screen on ebay...
Good Luck.

Compal RM CY25 Laptop. new battery won't charge.

Unfortunately, the charger socket in the motherboard does not drive electricity to the battery to get re-charge it. It is a typically motherboard problem(Do not confused with a power jack problem). I can not be repaired it.
Two options work always hook with power adapter or get ride of her.

are the dots appearing in diagonal lines or randoml across the screen? This would suggest to me either a loose connection in your cable or the screen is faulty and will need replacing. Sorry for the bad news

Hi, i have acer ferrari 4002wlmi laptop. and now 2 vertical lines appered on screen, in the right side. red and green . what's theproblem ??? please help me to sort it out

If it is a video adapter issue, you should see the same issue when you plug in an external monitor. If not, then I am sorry to say, your screen is going bad. You can replace the screen, but may be less just buying a new laptop.

If a monitor shows the same lines, then I suggest re-installing your video drivers, but to my experience, you are probably out of luck. Sorry and G'luck...

I have a HP dv9030ea laptop. It will not boot up. When turned on the laptop screen is just a slightly lit haze however if I plug in an external monitor you see the windows logo and time bar waiting to load...

Your Vga hardware is under trouble - Laptop VGA is builtin with the motherboard so we can say your motherboard has to be replaced - Also note that if any hardware corruption or failure as well as some file corruption windows os automatically reboots. It will reboot until you solve your issue............
