Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

1 Answer

360 help could you please find a link of the cable or input lead that you are talking about. all i have is the factory cable that came with the 360 from factory. ohh and thanks again for your time. If you have the HD AV cable (with the red green and blue leads on it), there's an optical output port on the plug itself. Get an optical lead and run it to your TV, which should have an optical input

This is a picture of the HD AV cable:

On the back of the part which connects to the 360, there's an optical output.

If you then get one of these leads:

It should send the 5.1 digital audio from your Xbox to your HD. I'm sure your TV should have an optical input on it somewhere!

Why won't my universal mc2 wheel work with my xbox 360, are these not compatible. None of the output leads would fit into the xbox 360, so I actually got an adapter lead that fits into one of the 3...

There should be a USB cable that came with the wheel that connects directly to the Xbox 360. Are referring to the Madcatz MC2? If so then you might be missing the USB cable connector? You can't modify the other inputs to feed into the Xbox 360. You need to use the cable that comes with the wheel.

Also, some games are not compatible with the wheel.

Xbox 360 sound but no picture can any one help

If you've just bought your xbox 360, then you probably haven't got a HDMI cable.

Which I think you could need.

My xbox shows no picture but has sound

This might not help everybody but it might be a cheap fast solution to the "Xbox 360 no picture but sound ok" problem. I have old refurbished 360 that has had no problems at all. SInce I got it have used it with powerwave cooler attached to the back. This cooler has seperate Outputs for Vga, SVga, audio, component and av. Don't need the microsoft cable at all just standard cables. Always had it plugged in with VGA or SVGA cables and got great picture. I bought new 360 and put the old one in bedroom with old tv which only has av inputs. Got shocking picture that was unwatchable but sound was good. Tried all ways but no different. Seems the xbox plug has problems. If you get the powerwave cooler it splits the xbox output socket in to seperate outputs for everything so you can use it with Vga or Svga cables if your tv has those inputs and it should work fine. Only seems to be the standard AV outputs that have problems. Haven't tried the componet leads but I guess they might work as well. If you only have the old yellow, red and white AV inputs on your tv this wont help you but if you have the other types of inputs it might fix it. The powerwave cooler you should be able to buy for under $20 so it could be a cheap solution for this problem everyone seems to be getting lately. It works for me at least so get one and give it a try.

CONNECTING XBOX 360 TO SAMSUNG HOME CINEMA SYSTEM VIA OPTICAL

For some reason you can only have the component leads with optical cable, if you put hdmi cable in there is no connection for the opticle cable out.

On my xbox 360 when i try to get on xboxlive it tells me that there is a problem with my ip adress

Here is a quick list of some trouble shooting steps;
1. Turn off you Xbox 360 console and inplug the internet connection going to it.
2. Go to your router and restore its factory defaults, then without the wireless adapter/ehternet cable plugged into the Xbox 360, restore the factory defaults on the console.
3. Turn off the console, and plug the wireless adapter/ehternet cable back in and power up again.
4. Go to the network settings link and press "A," then go down to the bottom slide (there are three total), and press "A".
5. Select your wireless network and test your xbox live connection.

For more help of tips, feel free to send me a message and I will be glad to help.

Xbox 360 Premium Console

Hi,
you,ll need a Power supply Unit ( Known as a power Brick )
Usually about £25-£50 )
Also a Video out lead, lead that connects from X-Box to T/V input, either RGB Or H/D. usually £10+
You,ll also need a controller wired or wireless, anywhere between £20+.
I,d suggest your best option is E-Bay.

Mike @ compurepair.

p.s instructions should be downloadable from microsoft xbox site.

Xbox 360 Premium

You should have received the lead to plug into your TV you should also have a lead to plug into your PC monitor plus power lead and brick. The lead for the computer monitor would be the lead you need to play on an HDTV. Please rate if useful, thanks!
