How to create hotspot in dell vostro 200 ?

Deepa christopher
Unfortunately, you cannot make the computer a hotspot without a wireless card installed. You could add a wireless card and then search the internet on how to setup the computer as a hotspot with the OS installed on the computer.
Thank You,

Need a solution to provide wireless access for an older HP Pavilion 760N

Dieter:

You can buy a wireless receiver at most computer stores. The receiver plugs into a USB port and receives the signal from your router. If you are hoping to connect to WiFi hotspots, be careful and make sure that you have good security software!

I have a HP Pavillion P6523W and want to connect wirelessly with my mobile phone carrier. How do I connect with my PC

If your phone supports tethering, you can set it up to be a WiFi-hotspot. You'll also need wireless network card. You can get a cheap USB one which will do fine, as the wireless speed will exceed your mobile carrier speed by far.
If you tell me what kind of phone you've got, I might be able to help yoou further.

Badoo proxy

Well deal with it, or use your cellphone to hotspot a wifi which you will connect to and then BAM.
You won't be on the enterprise network anymore. But it's not worth the trouble to go around the proxy, you will get caught.

Can't connect through a wifi hotspot

Check your firewall settings!Otherwise go down to the bottom right of your screen and you will see a picture of a computer with a plug to the left of it if its not there then click the up arrow near there to open the the task box and find it there.Double click or right click and open network sharing center. Now double click the link titled CHANGE ADAPTER SETTINGS,now you should see an app labeled LOCAL AREA CONNECTION, right click on that and click the enable button! If you dont see LOCAL AREA CONNECTION then you will have to create one where it says SETUP A NEW CONNECTION OR NETWORK,go throught the rigamaro and wala there you have you problem solved,if this doesn't work then call newegg.com 's support line!Hope this helps! -CB

Where is the switch to conect to wireless broadband

hi, not all desktops have built-in wifi, though some do, depending on your os: click "start" (bottom left) - right click "my computer" (xp) "computer" (vista) - click "manage" - click "device manager" all the devices will show up near the middle you should find "network adapters" - click the "+" sign to expand it - the local area wired network should say: lan or 10/100 if you have a wifi installed and configured, it should say wireless etc. - if that's there, go to "start" "control panel" "network connections" here you should see the wifi connection - right click on the wifi - click "enable" if it is disabled. then click "view available wireless networks" choose the connection - enter the password if secured - connect. peace, abz

I can't use up my new fivespot without the usb cord to connect to the internet on my HP laptop? any ideas?

Found a workaround and wrote it up here, copied below:

(The tech professional version: Connect to the WiFi hotspot on another computer. Visit 192.168.0.1 with 'admin' as the password and change the encryption mode to WEP. Enter a passcode, then apply. Restart the Fivespot. Connect from your device using the passcode.)

You'll need a different computer that can successfully connect to the WiFi hotspot. I used another laptop for this, but it could be anything with a full browser - iPad, Blackberry, just whatever will connect. Go ahead and connect to the Verizon AC30 network on that device.

Type 192.168.0.1 into your browser. When it asks you for a password, type 'admin', just like the username. Click Basic Setup at the top. On the drop-down for Encryption Mode, change it to WEP, then make up a password to fill in to Network Key 1. Click Next, then Apply. You can then close that page. Note that while using WEP mode means your network will not be open, it is not really that secure.

Next, to get the hotspot to show up correctly, I had to restart the Fivespot. Once the Verizon AC30 network shows up on your (formerly nonworking) laptop, connect and use your chosen Network Key as the password when it prompts you.

According to a very helpful Verizon employee who knew the workaround, they know about the issue, and they're collecting details to be able to issue a firmware update to the Fivespot. Hopefully this will come soon.

Remove the network from the preferred network list which can be found in control panel.
Then try to connect it oncemore.

If u can tell me the OS, i can help u in locating the preferred network list in control panel.

Hello,
Press Start->Connect To -->Show all connections.
If the Local Area Connection icon is crossed with a red X, right click it and choose (Enable, or Repair).

In the left panel in Network Connection window click create new connection.
1.The wizard pops up
2.Click Next.
3.Put a (dot)mark in Connect to the Internet .
4.Click Next
5.Choose Set up my connection manually
6.Click Next Choose the type of connection you have with you ISPN (dial up, etc.)
7. Click Next , and follow the instruction from here.
