There are no istructions regarding amounts per gallon, etc. It says to use the measuring cup that came with the product. However, no measuring cups came with the product. Someone else answered the question for me, stating one tablespoon per gallon of water.

Feeder will not dispense fertilizer from bottle when spraying

sometimes you have to shake it to loosen a particle stuck in the delivery hole of the bottle....doesn't have to be a large particle in order to plug up the works....or you may even have to remove the bottle, pry off the bottle cap, rinse it good and check for debris plugging up the works....good luck

The liquafeed did not dispense much during about 10 minutes of spraying, (Only about 1/4"of Liquafeed was dispensed.

I'm sorry to hear about the problems you are having with your LiquaFeed Sprayer. Your water pressure needs to be at least 45 PSI. If your garden hose is longer than 50 ft, this can lessen the water pressure. If there is any foreign matter or crystalization on the bottle or the sprayer where the bottle inserts, this will need to be soaked in warm water, as it may be clogging the sprayer. With the bottle of LiquaFeed apart from the sprayer, squeeze the bottle to see if any product comes out. If none of these troubleshooting steps help, please call us at 877-465-5160, and we will be happy to assist you further.

This is the second feeder I've purchased that quits spraying water (anything more than a dribble) after 3 or 4 uses. Even replaced the washer today. There are 6 refill bottles in my garage, but no...

I'm sorry to hear about the problems you are experiencing with your LiquaFeed Sprayer. You can always try to soak the sprayer in warm water for about ten minutes, and wipe dry. If this doesn't help, please call Miracle-Gro at 877-465-5160.

Can I dilute Scotts Miracle Grow for use in my Ortho dial spray bottle?

Yes, you can use Miracle-Gro Water Soluable Plant Food in the Ortho Dial N Spray hose-end sprayer. Simply set the dial on the Dial N Spray to 4 ounces. The label rate for Miracle-Gro All Purpose Plant Food is 1 tablespoon per gallon of water. To make 8 gallons of finished spray, measure 8 rounded tablespoons of plant food into the Dial N Spray jar and fill the jar with water. Mix thoroughly. Set the dial at 4 ounces. When you have sprayed until jar is empty, you will have applied 8 gallons of properly diluted spray. Hilary@Scotts

I have a bottle of concentrated "Roundup", but

Roundup concentrate is normally mixed at the rate of 1 to 50 or 2%. This should kill most weeds and you can treat hard to kill weeds with a second application. 2% works out at about 3 fluid ounces per gallon. For an imperial or UK gallon you would need 90mL or 75 mL in a US gallon. You will probably find a bottle or can around the house which has this capacity and cut the top off it to use as a measure.

What setting do I use on my ortho dial and spray for fertilizing plants and vegetables outdoors? Thanks

If you are using Miracle-Gro Water Soluable All Purpose Plant Food in the Ortho Dial N Spray Hose End Sprayer, follow the directions below :

  • Set the dial to 4 oz
  • The sprayer can make up to 8 gallons of spray. Add the correct amount of product to the jar for number of gallons you wish to make. (Example - The dilution rate is 1 tablespoon per gallon, and you want to make 8 gallons, put 8 tablespoons of Miracle-Gro Plant Food in the jar.)
  • Multipy 4 by the number of gallons you are making and fill to that oz line (Example - If you are making 8 gallons, 4x8=32 so fill to the 32 oz mark with water).
  • Prior to spraying, mix product around in the jar until granules are dissloved.
  • Spray until the jar is empty. When it is empty, you have sprayed 8 gallons of product.
If you any questions or if you are using another product, please give us a call at 800-225-2883, and we will be happy to figure out a setting for you!

Gun will not feed fertilizer,

Here some things to check on your sprayer to make sure it is working properly. Is your hose 50 ft or less? Is your water pressure above 40 psi? When you turn the arrow to feed do you hear a slight clicking sound? Is the bottle tightly screwed into the container? Do you see any foreign matter or crystallization of the bottle or the sprayer? Do you see any particles floating inside the bottle if you hold it to the light? If you point the bottle toward a bucket can you squirt product out? Have your tried more then one bottle? If you have tried more then one bottle, your hose and psi meet the minimum recommendation and you don't see any foreign matter on the bottle or sprayer there is something wrong with the applicator. Please call us at 800-645-8166 we'll be happy to discuss this issue and see what we can do to assist you further. Lee Ann@SMG.

I have the cocentrated roundup, how much per gallon of water for killing simple weeds

3 oz per gallon if the active ingredient Glyphosate-(says on front label) is 18% which is what most rounup is unless you get the super conc,etc...-----What I would do if i were yoiu is go to wal mart and buy their brand-ELIMINATOR-it has Glyphosate at 41%-same exact thing and cheaper.Use 2 oz/gallon water for great results.Buy the 16 0z bottle for about $8.00,that will make 8 gallons which will last a homeowner a long long time-probably 3-6 months.---rounup at 3 oz/gallon will work well also if youve already got it.Only spray what you want to kill.try not to miss! Weeds will start yellowing in about 3-5 days and then gradually die back at about 7-10 days.you'll need a few hours of no rain or watering to wash it off.Good luck!
