Question about Miele 24 in. Touchtronic Platinum Built-in Dishwasher
after 8 weeks of absence,
miele dishwasher intake/drain flashes, no drain.
I cleaned filter + pump.
last year Miel guy fixed it + promised to send "pump key", but never did.
This can happen after inactivity. the circulation pump seal sticks and wont turn . when the dishwasher starts to fill the circulation pump is pulsed on to see if the preasure switch switches over (to see if water is getting into the dishwasher) if the pump does not turn there is no preasure and the machine stops thinking no water has entered. turn pump by hand to cure.

this is a general fault light which could mean anything without a Miele Technician coming out and connecting a laptop to the unit. However most common faults with dishwashers is a drain fault. Check for any kinked hoses and check the drain spigot under the sink where the drain hose connects into the u bend. Usually this is where food gets trapped due to the spigot not being drilled out large enough. This then causes a blockage.
Hope this helps.

Evening to you - empty the trays out of the washer - remove bottom wash arms by pulling upwards - below tha is a steel mesh - turn the plastic handle to unlock & remove the mesh - on the left of the tub locate a steel clip - below this is the housing for the pump - unclip & lift upwards - you will get a rush of water its ok - then clean the foodstuffs etc from in here as the propeller or impellar is found - turn machine on as the machine will a;lways start with a pump run - switch off after 20-30secs - check if all clear - clean up & assemble - should be good to go...

I have the same dishwasher and it will not INTAKE water. This unit does ****. So much for a "smart dishwasher".

hi, firstly check the filter in the waterproof system where the tap is to make sure it is not blocked. turn off the water and remove the connection with the white box attached this is the waterproof system. remove the black seal and you will see the filter. pull it out with a pair of pliers and clean it.
if this is ok check to see if you have a restrictor on the tap or inside the tap and also make sure water is flowing from the tap prior to reconnecting the waterproof system.
run the unit again and when it is time for the machine to call for water you can manually fill it and see if it works using a saucepan or bucket. if this works ok you may have a stuck waterproof system and probably need to replace this.
Hope this helps
