thanks (lil more help) - pixel.gif INSTALLATION or to find where pc card enters:

PC-Card slot is generally located on the left or right hand side of your portable computer and will generally have two available locations for cards to be connect/ the card into the laptop horizontally.
generally the PC-Card button will pop out. Once the card is within the computer, the software should either make a tone or a message should appear indicating that the card has been detected on the computer. To eject the card, press the PC-Card button which will come out halfway and give you enough working space to pull the card out the remainder of the way.

Hope this helps ya, Please dont for get to Vote.Thank You

It's very easy and simple to do. The card is located under a panel on the bottom of the machine. Here's a link with the users manual, it gives a breakdown view of your machine in the illustrated parts catalog section, this will give you a better idea of where it's at exactly.

How to change the graphics card

Yikes, that's a hard thing to do on a laptop because it's soldered onto the motherboard. You'll have to take the laptop apart to get to the board.

Would this laptop happen to have the Nvidia Graphics Card that was a manufacturing defect across many product lines? I think your laptop is one of the HPdv6000 - dv6999 that had the Nvidia Graphics Card.

If, it's Nvidia, try reflowing the graphics card instead of replacing it. The problem with the card is that it was not seated securley on the board and over time it worked itself loose. You can reseat it yourself. Just let me know if you have the Nvidia Card and would like to give it a shot. I've had success with hundreds of them. I buy them all the time off and resale them because most people think they are done for life.

I have a hpdv6000 series laptop and recently it

I believe that your LCD panel is the problem, but you should verify that you have good video, by toggling to an external monitor to check your output. If it dispays good, you have an LCD problem.

My hpdv6000 does not detec usb or sd/pro\cards

You may used USB for a reason and that may affected some drives…go to device manager and go to the USB section and delete all the drivers and shutdown the computer and reboot it again. When your computer restarts it will read all drivers installed and reinstall the one that you need only. Remember to clean your computer all the times by running the maintenance go t start and right click on c: and go to property... Let me know if that work for you and please do not forget to rate my service so I can keep providing this service to everyone and improve on it. God bless
