The phone was fully charged and after someone told me they had tried to call me several times I checked my phone and it was turned off. I already tried charging it but it's not doing anything. How do I turn it on??

yeah and I've heard rummors of a recall. but when my parents went up there to get a new one they told me "its been dropped several times" after going to the backroom for twenty minutes. Aparently I've been "downloading things" which is **** because I havent, and in the end they kicked my parents out of the store, claiming there was no recall. Kricket, screw you. You should just call the moterola company, it happens to alot of people.
The problem you have is software related and you will need to send it back to samsung who will sort it out, or if you give samsung a call they will tell you where the nearest samsung repairer is , my local one is in the carphone wharehouse, they told me it would take about an hour and a half , or i could leave it there and borrow a temp phone and pick up at my conveniance.
Try this: Take your SIM card out. Make sure your phone battery is fully charged. Press* 3 sendat the same time and turn the phone on. Keep them pressed until the reset screen appears.
Give it time to reset.
Yes! I know. You need someone to press the ON button.
Tip! Only use one Anti Virus Application on your phone.
If the above doesn't work try another update. (it may have mis-updated).
Before updating software you should check that there's a newer version of software available.
When updating software on Mobs, be sure to:
HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY INSERTED;
PUT IT ON GENERAL PROFILE;
TURN OFF YOUR PIN NUMBER;
CONNECT YOUR CHARGER TO YOUR MOB AND SWITCH IT ON;
DO NOT ----- DO NOT ---- TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE THE UPDATE IS GOING ON;
THIS CAN TAKE 30 MINUTES OR MORE.
And obviously don't unplug the phone from the PC.
Be patient, you may have to do a restart or two on your mob afterwards. Even remove the battery to get it going again (not recommended). But give it plenty of time.
It is also wise not to use your PC while updating software, just in case the PC freezes.
If the PC freezes during an update, you're up the creek without a paddle...
I did an update on a Sony Eric 810i it took nearly two hours.
More... Your phone turns itself on and off, sometimes more than once while updating software, you should leave it well alone during the update.
