Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console
When you put a disk into our ps2 slim console it reads "unable to read disk". It happens with every game that is put into the PS2 including new games as well as old. I just purchased this PS2 in Dec of 2007 for a christmas present for my son. It worked up until about 1 1/2 weeks ago.
The ps2 console have all been acting up. my solution is to go out and get an upgrade (ps3)

First of all the new laser lens will not allow your Slim to read NTSC UC games if you have a PAL european Console.
There is no reason the New laser should have not read the disc unless it Came to you damaged. It sounds like you know how to replace a laser.
