This sounds like a Memory/RAM problem. The memory is either damaged or dusty. If it's not dusty or dirty in any way, there is a high probability it has failed and is no longer working. If there are two modules in there, maybe only one has failed.
You will have to open the computer and try one memory at a time in case there are two.
