You don't have to remove the headlight to change the bulb. The bulb can be removed from the back of the headlight, usually by turning the bezel ring that holds the bulb onto the headlight housing. Just make sure you do not touch the glass part of the bulb while replacing it or it will burn out again fast.

How do I replace burnt bulb (brake light) on my 2003 Nissan Altima

Open the back hatch door. There are two hex head bolts that hold the tail light assembly in place. Remove them. The fender side of the taillight is snapped on. With a little hand force (don't use a screwdriver, it may crack the light or scratch the paint) you should be able to pop the light assembly out.
The back of the assembly has sockets that hold the bulbs, in small print you should see the word "lock" and a direction arrow. Simply turn the socket in the opposite direction and the buld should pull out. When replacing it, make sure you don't hand the buld directly with your hands because oils from you fingers may shorten the life of the bulb.

No low beam head lights

If you just want to replace the bulb yourself, this is a good website.
http://www.paulstravelpictures.com/Nissan-Altima-Headlight-Bulb/Nissan-Altima-Passenger-Side-Headlight.htm
If the website does't get your headlight fixed... You might have a blown fuse. It could be in the IPDM E/R location under the hood. This is next to the coolant bottle. Remove the coolant bottle with two screws and lift the cover to the IPDM E/R. Just set the coolant bottle aside for now. The low beam fuses are 49 and 50. They are 15A fuses. To be more precise, they are located on row 2, columns 2 and 3 (column 1 being closest to the fender of the car). Hope this helps.

Head light 2005 altima

you have to remove the bulbs from inside of the hood in the engine compartment. in some cars you have to remove some "pins' and remove the entire headlight assembly.. You then remove the holder where the lightbulb is located and replace the bulb.
