Don't know if I'm telling you something you already know buddy , but the Xbox360 user manual specifically says "Do NOT use a CD laser cleaning disk" I had a problem with my 360 see post "disk read errors" (still unsolved) I ended up buying a new 360 but then took my old one apart and tryed cleaning lenz with cotton bud and tricloroethane - to no avail

sounds like your Disc Drive has taken a **** I have had the same issue and I had to open it up to make the drive start to spin again

Try using a disc cleaning unit on this if that does not work the drive will need to be replaced around $75 bucks these people at www.videogamerepair.com will do the work for you if you do not know how.\

SOURCE: put disc in xbox 360, said reading then open tray.
When the disc tray closes push down firmly on the top of your xbox where
the tray is. if not clean your disc.
This is normal when the lens are dirty since the sensors are very sensitive.

This is a problem occurring in all the xbox 360 consoles.......
this is mainly because of the poor quality of the disc.....as a result it leads
to the damage of ur xbox 360 lens..............use good original
discs........the heating effect is due to the long usage of pirated discs ...
check your lens if its working good then better
