How does my psp connect to zyxel 280p modem ,its telling me not supported

For direct internet connections on the PSP, only the wireless fuction will work. Otherwise, you must connect the PSP to a computer with Sony's free MediaGo application (search for Sony MediaGo and download the application prior to connecting your PSP to the computer). The USB port on the PSP will not work with USB appliances such as modems, etc..

I want to connect internet on my psp through a wireless access point but iam constantly recieving dns errors , what settings should be made on my psp and my access point? to solve the problem???

  1. Connect your router
  2. Open a brower window on your computer, preferably Internet explorer.
  3. Enter the IP address of the router (Ex: 192.168.1.1)
  4. Upon entering the IP address of the router in the browser it should direct you to your router box. If this does not happen then most likely your router box has been configured to a different IP address. To get this IP number run the set-up program.
  5. Now in the routher settings navigate within your router's settings dialog and locate "Wirless Settings"
  6. Check if you are assigned a SSID
  7. Check your region
  8. You should be on Channel 11. Sometimes the channel could different, in such situations make sure you are on the same channel.
  9. Check if "Allow Broadcast of Name (SSID)" is enabled
  10. Check if "Enable Wireless access point" is enabled
  11. Set authentication as "Open system". You will find this option under "Security Encryption (WEP)"
  12. Set strength of encryption as "Disabled"
  13. Now click on "Wireless Card Access List". You may need to provide your password again.
  14. Make sure "Turn on Access control" option is turned off "Disabled"
  15. You should now see your PSP listed. No, you dont see then on your psp, go to "system settings" and then to "system information". You will see MAC address, now make a note of this MAC address.
  16. Now in "Wireless Card Access List" select "Add". If you are not able to do this then enter the PSP's MAC address and click "Finish/Apply" when done.
  17. In WAN settings, verify that "Connect Automatically as required" is enabled
  18. In "LAN TCP/IP Settings" make note of all of the information included. You may need this later. You may not, but it's a good idea to take note of it now.
  19. Under "Router Status" make note of all the relevant information included here as well. You may or may not need it.

My Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless-B Broadband Router? i cant connect in my internet and my PSP how can i do to connect it?

Set up an open wireless network or with WPA encryption. The PSP supports WEP/WPA but not WPA2 or Wireless G, it's a B device.
Also use a short passphrase and DHCP to lease IP Addresses.

I'm trying to log onto my wireless router with my PSP however i need to find me WEP password how do i do this?

The WEP encryption is configured in the wireless settings of the wireless router. Open a WEB browser and type in the IP configuration address of the wireless router and goto the encryption setting to view the encryption code. Then goto the PSP wireless setting and enter the wireless router's encryption code.

Belkin wireless will no longer work with xbox or 360

You need to open the ports that the xbox and PSP uses to connect to the internet in your router. Contact your Router's support and ask them to open the ports in the router for you so that you can connect your game and go online. this is issue with port being blocked.

I just got a belkin wireless router and i have my computer my playstation 3 and one psp connected up to it and i am trying to connect up another psp but it keeps timeing out i was just wondering how many...

Hi! all wireless routers can connect up to 30 to 50 wireless device. If your computer, your play station3 and the other psp is not timing out.. there is a possibility that there is a problem on the wireless capability of the other psp that ur having a problem.. check the wireless settings of your other psp and match it with the other psp that is giving u a problem. check also the wireless settings of your router, there are some router that you can connect only specifi device by assigning the mac address of the device that u want to connect to the wireless network..

Lan

Hi,

If you are referring to the Ethernet cable, initially, it can then be presumed that your computer then has no LAN port. What would be required is purchase and installation of an add-on networking card. Although it is quite rare for most modern desktops not to have a built-in LAN port. The image below is an example of an add-on PCI LAN card

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

No internet connection

Ok, so if you're getting an IP Conflict, you have 2 devices trying to use the same address. It sounds like you configured a static IP address in at least one of those devices... your PC, router, or the PSP. In order to do gaming, I believe you have to set up a hole in your firewall to allow that connection... so I would suggest that you ensure that the you are using static IP addresses on all of the devices within your LAN (NOT the WAN port on the router). Set the router to 192.168.1.1, the PC to 192.168.1.2, and the PSP to 192.168.1.10... that way if you add more PC's they won't interfere with the PSP accidentally. Then setup your router to allow the game port to be open for the PSP at 192.168.1.10.
