Creative Labs WebCam reboot problem

I have installed the WebCam drivers off the CD-ROM, plugged in the webcam
into a USB port and my PC immediately reboots. I am using XP Professional.
Does anyone know why this is occurring?

BTW: I had this problem before I upgraded my PC. I seem to recall getting
it to work by disconnecting all other USB devices first. I have tried that
this time to no avail.
