The window files are corrupt, or the hard drive has issues, since you don't have a windows 7 disc and you cannot access the recovery partition, the next step is to have the hardware tested for possible replacement.
reboot the machine and keep pressing F11 repeatedly until the Windows 7system restore process start. Choose a full restore, and it'll be right back to factory (like it was when it was brand new)
This should work as long as you never erased the recovery partition on the hard disk!
You didn't say what the suggested fixes are, but I've never heard of this. Perhaps you need to scan for viruses. There is no performance stability analysis that is part of Windows.
ok i have emachines 250 i need help to breing it back origianl work oder but i can do fix by a cd becuase i do not a have any palce to put a cd in i need to do it manually
Try turning the sleep function on the monitor OFF, you can do this gtom the setup menue on your monitor.
You can also disable the Hibranation mode from your PC.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck and have a pleasent day.
eMachine's customer service was very good last I had occasion to use it. The keyboard that came with a system had a QWRRTY keyboard (E was missing) and I had the new one by 2nd day air with no return needed.
I recommend giving them a shot first since this issue may even be known to them.
I found Cnet's closing paragraph on your machine helpful too:
"We also like, as always, the BigFix application, which provides you with direct support help from Gateway, eMachines' parent company (which is, in turn, owned by Acer).
For the rest of this system's support, eMachines offers one year of parts and labor coverage, as well as 24-7 toll-free phone support. Online you get system-specific support resources, as well, along the lines of driver downloads, live chat, and other features. Because each eMachines is a fixed configuration, any support tech you come across should know exactly what kind of hardware you have, at least out of the box."
Did your friend format the entire hard disc (including all partitions)?
