I wanted to know how to go about adding more memory to my laptop? Also, how do I know which programs are taking up a lot of space and which ones I don't need?
Try a memory manufacturer website & plug in your computer:

HD 'memory' is considered secondary or storage.
In <Control Panel>::<Add / Remove Programs>, it should give you some indication of the size of the programs, as will hovering the mouse over the folder in which the program is situated [not as reliable as it once was as many dlls are stored in windows folders].

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!
