Question about AT&T 8925 Tilt Smartphone
All of a sudden, I am unable to access my email or use IE. When trying to download email, I get the message:
Cannot connect. be certain that your connection settings are correct, and try again.
I hadn't made any changes to my phone at all when this happened. I have tried to reset the connections, but for some reason there are NO existing connection listed...here's what happens: 1. Tap on Start menu, and then Settings
2. Tap on the Connections tab on the bottom of the screen
3. Tap on the Connections icon in the middle of the screen
4. Tap on "Manage existing connections" underneath MEdia Net??
5. Tap on the "Edit..." button to edit the MEdia Net connections??? THERE IS NO MEDIA NET LISTED!!! I have the option to make a NEW connection from scratch but I don't know how.
In NETWORK MANAGEMENT, I have My Work Network, MyISP Name, ATT ISP, and My ISP only as options. I've never seen that. Do I need to clear everything out and start over from the beginning? Please help!
See if you've got a Settings-Connections-Connection Setup control panel under settings. If you do, run that and it should automatically provision your settings.
What may be another issue is under Settings-connections-connections-advanced-Select Networks. In the top pull-down, if it has "The Internet" instead of "My ISP" or "Media Net," you'll get interesting connection issues.
