There are a few posible problems if you cant connect to wlan:

1. maybe your wlan has no driver yet. you may need to install it first.
2. maybe your wlan is not active.
3. or you dont have the right IP addresses (i.e. dns, local ip setting, local gateway) for the network.

here are a few simple steps:
1. go to your desktop and right click on my network places icon then click on properties.
2. from there you will see your network connections. if happen to see your wlan connection, check if its disabled.
3. if its disabled, right click on it then click enable, it should scan for nearby access points or routers.
4. if its enabled, then it may need some ip addresses. right click on it then click properties.
5. your wlan connection properties will appear.
6. go ahead and click on internet protocol (tcp/ip) then click properties.
7. a new window will appear which needs the ip addresses i talked about.
8. from there you may ask you IT for the IP addresses. just click on "USE THE FOLLOWING IP ADDRESS" and "USE THE FOLLOWING DNS SERVER ADDRESSES"

i hope i helped you on your problem

Have you checked if you are connected to internet?
Go to start then CONTROL PANEL then NETWORK CONNECTIONS
There you should see if you are connected.
If your Lan/WLan is connected try this.
  1. Right Click the LAN/WLAN that is connected to the internet, then on the menu choose properties
  2. Now on the window choose INTERNET TCP/IP then click heifentrixx_3.jpg like in the photo.
  3. On the next window choose OBTAIN IP ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY and OBTAIN DNS SERVER AUTOMATICALLY like in this photo. heifentrixx_4.jpg
  4. Click ok then try connecting to your internet. but i suggest you restart you computer first.
Goodluck.. Please give me updates if you have any success thanks.

Wlan disconnected

I'll need more information to give you an effective answer. If your wlan was connecting just fine, and now you don't have a stable connection, it could be a range issue and you'll have to get closer to the access point.
If your wlan doesn't work at all, and won't get recognized by your computer you may need the latest drivers, in which case I'll need the model number of your wlan device.
If it works, finds your wireless connection but can't connect, try resetting your wireless router.

limited or no connectivity means your wlan not communicating with the router, check if you turn on the wlan switch on your laptop or try to install updated driver for you wlan

if thats a external wireless lan card try to unplug and plug it back.

Unable to connnect wirelessly thru gprs phone.

You need to connect first one system with the phone. have the proper software of the phone installed on the system and your system should detect it as a modem. you may need to contact your network provider for assistance. Once you have establish a connection on the first sytem and it culd browse, that is the time that you need to create an ad hoc under create a new connection. once you have established an ad hoc, let your other system detect it wirelessly and try to connect to it.
By the way GPRS is similar to dial up so if you have 2 systems online it is just like splitting your 56k connection speed and it could give you no browse at times.

Hope this helps...
