There are a few posible problems if you cant connect to wlan:

1. maybe your wlan has no driver yet. you may need to install it first.
2. maybe your wlan is not active.
3. or you dont have the right IP addresses (i.e. dns, local ip setting, local gateway) for the network.

here are a few simple steps:
1. go to your desktop and right click on my network places icon then click on properties.
2. from there you will see your network connections. if happen to see your wlan connection, check if its disabled.
3. if its disabled, right click on it then click enable, it should scan for nearby access points or routers.
4. if its enabled, then it may need some ip addresses. right click on it then click properties.
5. your wlan connection properties will appear.
6. go ahead and click on internet protocol (tcp/ip) then click properties.
7. a new window will appear which needs the ip addresses i talked about.
8. from there you may ask you IT for the IP addresses. just click on "USE THE FOLLOWING IP ADDRESS" and "USE THE FOLLOWING DNS SERVER ADDRESSES"

i hope i helped you on your problem

I have a wifi at home, im using now a wifi phone, it displays, netgear found, when i search for wlan it says wlan network netgear but when i wnt to connect to the web it says wlan unable to connect wlan...

try unplugging your router for 1 minute, plug it back in and wait for it to properly boot, make sure you do not have a secured wireless network (WEP,WPA, ect...)
or make sure that the phone is able to accept the connection with a security key. If not you might have to disable your security in order to use the phone.

-unable to connect to wireless -unable to open internet explorer msg states "unable to connect due to error on this site" (yahoo) -Is there a reset botton for wireless -Called my internet Co,...

Your problem may appear from a not properly enabled WLAN card.
Make sure the Wi-Fi swithc is in ON position and on your laptop keyboard try the FN+F8 combination to have displayed the wireless card status. The WLAN card has to be ENABLED to be able to connect to the Internet. The combination done will make appear on your display a window with some options available; choose that option that enables your wireless card.
Also check in your computer's DEVICE MANAGER if your WLAN card is working properly. To do so follow these simple steps:
1. START and click on SYSTEM;
2. in SYSTEM option click on DEVICE MANAGER;
3. on DEVICE MANAGER option go at NETWORK ADAPTERS and see if there your wireless card is indicated and it shows that it is working PROPERLY;
4. if an UNKNOWN DEVICE is indicated then try to find the right driver for you notebook model and WLAN card model;
5. install the driver then REBOOT and recheck in DEVICE MANAGER if your WLAN card is displayed properly this time.

Unable to connect wirelessly. Router is not the problem. Being told could be wireless adapter in computer

you have to describe in more details, from where are you connecting, how do you know the ruter is not the problem? do you see flashing led under wlan? did you go to ip adress of your ruter and check if wlan is on? are you using security ? if that is the case you must enter preshared key?

Unable browse internet using wlan/wi fi

whatever computer you are connected to needs activsync which you can get from when connected you have to change the settings to allow for data transfer and internet connections. then you can browse. as for wireless, you have to have the internet package to unlock the block in explorer to make this work. I wonder if unlocking the phone would eliminate that.

Nokia n95 8gb wifi not workin

so you have a wireless router at home? if you dont have,you should get one or you can try to go to some place with free wifi like coffee shops,libraries,etc. The reason why it keeps on saying WLAN NOT FOUND is that ,theres no wireless signal in your area..or signal is too poor that your phone cant reach..
