My printer keeps saying out of paper (load paper in main tray) when it's fully loaded. The problem began with a paper jam but after clearing the jam, shutting down, opening again, I continue to get the no paper message. Any ideas?

I have a HP LaserJet 400 color MFP M475dn printer and I continue to get the following error message: " Jam in tray 3, clear jam and then press {OK} "

Go to your printer settings on the PC control panel (or equivalent subject to OS) and find printer properties, then find device settings. Check that Tray three (and others) are "not available" and or "not installed" preferably both.
The paper tray does not spring up until the tray is loaded into the machine.

Keeps saying load paper, paper is in

Are the rollers worn out? If they have a slick appearance, that is your problem. Also examine the tray and see if it is lifting properly.

I keep getting a printer jam when trying to print, I clear the jam and then it sticks again, wither in the tray, the inner door or the fuser, any ideas appreciated..

Please check the error code when paper jams. The code will indicate where the jam is. Also let me provide some tips to prevent paper jam.

Flex, fan, and straighten paper before loading it. Make sure the paper lies flat in the paper tray. Do not load too much paper. Make sure the stack height does not exceed the indicated maximum height. Make sure the guides in the paper tray or the manual feeder are properly positioned and are not pressing too tightly against the paper or envelopes and push the paper tray in firmly after loading paper. Use only recommended paper or specialty media.
Do not load wrinkled, creased, damp, bent, or curled paper. Do not mix paper sizes, weights, or types in the same stack and make sure all sizes and types are set correctly in the printer control panel menus.

Paper jam

The way you describe your error, it seems that there is still some residual paper stuck inside the printer that may cause subsequent paper to be mis-aligned.

Paper jams can be tricky to solve. The paper is usually stuck inside the printer mechanism so even if there is no visible paper jam, you will still get the paper jam error. Try this:

1. Turn off your printer
2. Open all trays and remove any paper stuck there
3. Locate the button to open the printer, open it and remove any paper stuck there also.
4. Repeate the above step for all buttons that you can find to access the inside of the printer
5. Close all doors and put back all trays
6. Turn on your printer

My OKI B6300 printer have problem: "pull out all trays, clear jam" & "clear jam & close cover A" These 2 screens keep alternating. I am familiar with saying, "clear jam & close cover A" because I had...

There are several reasons why this error keeps coming up, and seeing the date I will assume that you fixed it. But for those that are looking for the solution:
Sometimes it is caused by the feed rollers not picking up the paper - remove the trays and replace the rollers ($30 kit) both in the tray and in the printer.
Sometimes it is caused by a small piece of paper jammed in works somewhere. Remove all trays, turn it on its side and use a flashlight to look around. It really doesn't take much to mess it up.
Take a look at the tray roller and make sure it is spring loaded. If the spring comes out or the retarder breaks tis will cause misfeeds as well.
