Question about Canon PowerShot A70 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Camera dropped in pool.

I have a Kodak C743 camera and it got dropped into a baby pool by my nephew. It didn't work at first so I let it dry for about a week and now it turns on and I can reveiw my memory chip pictures and the pictures stored in the camera and the camera will take a picture but the screen is blank. So it doesn't show anything on the screen before taking the picture, the flash will go off but the picture will be black. Is this fixable?

How big can SD card be for Kodak Easyshare C743 Digital Camera?

You may use any SD card up to 2GB in size. The C743 will not work with higher-capacity SDHC and SDXC cards.

I just bought an hp 4 gig sdhc memory card for my kodak easyshare c743 camera. Will it work or should i return it?

The C743 works with MMC and SD cards, not with SDHC card. Your 4GB card will not work in it. You can return it or, if you have another device which can use SDHC cards, keep it.

I have a c743 kodak camera and i want to know if 4gb sd is compatible with it

No. The C743 works with SD cards. A 4GB card is actually an SDHC (the HC stands for High Capacity) and will not work in an SD device. You'll have to stay with SD cards 2GB and smaller.

My baby nephew dropped my camera on the beach and now it has some sand stuck in it and has stopped working. can this be fixed? p.s it turns on but no longer lets me take pics.

Hi!
I believe there's sand inside the lens or stabilizer - the lens unit has to be taken apart and cleaned by a professional. It's a hardware fault, not software so I'm afraid you will have to give it to a local repair shop or Kodak service center and let them clean it.
I work in Kodak service center.

C743 digital

A Kodak tech told me to use only rechargeable batteries as regular dry cells do not have enough power and will go dead at the most inconvient time.

Son dropped new c743 Kodak camera

Judging by my experiences with Kodak service, you would be better off getting another camera that put up with the headache and expense of a repair... better still, get a real camera from a proper manufacturer with a real service center!
