Please anyone suggest me is it appropriate to choose Casement doors and windows?

The Casement doors and windows are best to to use as they are made up of UPVC which is a cost effective and long lasting. Casement doors and windows are resistant to heat, offer you proper ventilation and they are not prone to termites. So, don't think much, just go 4 dat. Casement windows, that crank outward, stick. This makes some of them impossible to close completely without pushing them in from the outside.

Don't know why this is posed in Chainsaws, but here goes. Check if the windows are 'square', meaning that there are good even gaps all around the window when it is closed. If not, the window may need to get shimmed to make it 'square' again. This is especially a problem on casement windows for bay or bow windows as they hang over the edge of the house. When properly installed, the weight of the window frame is tied into the attic rafters (on a ranch house) by wire cable so the window will not sag over time. If there is a framing support under a bay/bow window, it may need to be adjusted to bring the window back to square.

Window kit dimentions i have a window 18 inch wide

The portable AC units generally have a customizable, exhaust hose window, termination kit that comes with the unit.. In other words it can be cut to fit. The one that comes with the unit will fit casement windows, as well as sash windows.

To further assist you, I have included a link to the Owner's/Installation Manual for the model you referenced. You may download and print it if you like.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

If the unit dose not fit in my window can i turn it to fit?

No! There is a compressor in there with oil in it. If you try to run the window AC on its side the oil will run out of the compressor into the refrigerant piping and burn up the compressor. If you have a narrow window, you should look for a casement window ac. I do have a couple of these lying around. I tried selling them on ebay to no evail. Let me know if you need one.

Wimdow Air Cond.

Sorry, that's a no. There are, however, window air conditioners made for casement style windows which are tall and narrow. I know GE used to have them. Check geappliances.com. There are also " portable " air conditioners which sit on your floor and vent through hoses to a window.

Venting for portable air-condioners

They make special window units designed specifically for casement windows. They are taller and skinnier than standard window a/c's. They are no where near as common as standard window a/c's so you might have to look a little harder, but they are out there.
