Question about Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router
Comcast came out to work on either the cable for pc or the tv and made an upgrade. They disconnected the linksys router , fairly new 2.4GHz . Comcast said it would no longer work and they put in their own box. We used the router for the lap top and had a sign on code . Now we can not connect to wireless they offered no information about their change. NOW THEY TELL ME THEY WILL NOT ADDRESS THE NO CONNECTION PROBLEM IT IS A LINKSYS ISSUE. I STILL HAVE THE ROUTER I do not know if it works . Is it possible to re-connect it? We also have a vontage box on the same network that was added after comcast came out. An and last what does the linksys power cable look like?
Yes you can reconnect your router. Whoever did that at Comcast had no business doing that and should be reported and return their equipment back to Comcast asap. It could appear on the bill.
I have a Linksys modem on my Comcast router and it works fine. I don't let them touch it because it uses T-Zones at home service for phone use and it uses a special router to manage it since it has a sim card to run the phone line.
Vonage equipment can be used as well.
I wonder if they were trying to put their phone service onto your system?
