Hi everyone - When I drive alot in the heat. My car shuts off. I wait a couple of minutes and my battery will get me another mile. Let it sit overnight and I can drive it (just not alot).
My mechanic has changes fuel pump, alternator (twice) and battery.
Any ideas?

It is may be due to the blockage of the fuel ,so check that first
Thats a tricky one can u please tell me what kind of car it is?
and is it like heating up or running fin then cutting out?
ok its a 1997 volks wagan now there could be a few things happening here
1 there could be a fault in the distribuator module that tells the computer to turn of or losses spark to shut the car down.
2 could be a fuel blockage some were
3 a fault in the airflow meter
what u need to do is go to a machanic a get a computer test to see whats actually going on or if u no how to read the fault lights on the computer write the amount of flashes down and repost

By the way it is a 1999 Eurovan. My mechanic had it for several weeks and drove it and let it sit running for hours and it never shut off.
