My Jenn-Air double oven locked after a clean cycle. My model (JJW8630) has a series of slots cut in the top of the door. Take a piece of stiff wire, coat hanger, and bend a right angle about 1/2 inch at the end, feed the wire into the 3rd or 4th slot from the center on the right hand side. Turn the wire so that the bent piece is on the top and push the wire so it engages the lever which latches the door shut, it is spring loaded and moves easily.
Once the door was opened, I removed the temperature sensor, held by 2 screws, from the top of the oven and eased the wire out to get to the connector. The faulty sensor was reading 4.2 k, at room temperature it should be just over 1k, while waiting for a new sensor to arrive I stuck in a 1k resistor, ex Radio Shack, so the fan stops running and the door latch can be retracted by closing the oven door, or press the switch on the top right of the door opening.
My replacement part was ordered on line for less than 1/2 the official quoted price.

Called an appliance repair serviceman....after checking it out...turned out to be a sensor that actually burned up (first time using cleaning feature!!). The oven got so hot it actually burned the wiring going to this sensor. Pretty scary! The repairman said he doesn't trust the self cleaning feature...recommended doing it the old fashion way! He's had to repair many ovens due to the lock remaining locked. IF you do use the feature, he said to absolutely remove the racks first because they will slowly warp and you'll end up replacing them due to uneven cooking (i.e. lopsided cakes). It cost me nearly $200.00 to clean my oven! Could have had my entire house cleaned for that amount!!
After the lock indicator light goes out, move the
door lock lever to the left. The oven door can now be opened. Turn the
selector and temperature knobs from clean to off AFTER THE DOOR IS
UNLOCKED. If the temperature knob is turned to off BEFORE the door is
unlocked, the door will not open. Forcing the lock will damage the lock
mechanism. If this should happen, return the temperature knob back to
CLEAN, unlock the door, THEN turn the temperature knob off.

The temperature setting must be set on "Cleaning" and the oven cooking dial to "Clean"; otherwise the door will not open and forcing will damage the mechanism. Also, before the door will open, the internal temperature must drop to a safe level and a red "cleaning" light must go off, after the temperature drops inside the oven.
