Question about Intel Motherboard

Have reinstalled winxp in my pc.but, now showing Kernal poroblm, and cant install realtek sound-reg

Sir,
i am using ASUS motherboard(No:P5GC-MX). last week, have reinstalled the OS(win xp sp2) due to a virus effect. but, after the installation, realtek driver cant install. and when i have tried ti insatall the BT Soil(bluetooth driver). but, while this,it shown an erreo, of KERNAL. after that, whenever i am trying to install sound driver frm the cd, which i have got with motherboard, cand. showing same problem, and saying that, YOU ARE NOT INSTALLED A SOUND DEVICE DRIVER.

how can i rectify this problem. be kind to guide me. i am fedd up with this problm.

    hi sir,
    well, have done the changes in Bios, where "Front Panel Support Type have made to AC97, and still problem arise. and the complaint shows CODE 28. and while trying to install it frm the CD, it shows "INSTALL REALTEK HD AUDIO DRIVER FAILURE".

    any guidance pls

    be kind and waiting

You could check in the Bios to see if your on board audio device is enabled. To get in to Bios press the Del key as the PC starts up but before Windows loads. Then pick Advanced from the options at the top of the bios screen. You should see something like this:
HD Audio Controller [Enabled]
Front Panel Support Type [AC97]
Onboard PCIEX 10/100Mb LAN [Enabled]
LAN Option ROM [Disabled]

If it disabled, enable it and save the settings, then reboot.

Head phones don't work and the speakers work. In the test mold the headphone can hear chime. motherboard asus p5gc-mx


HI,
if it,s the on-board sound thats the problem.
You can rectify this by purchasing a seperate PCI Sound Card.
These are not expensive, 10 minutes to fit.
The other option, is to ensure that you have the correct Device driver installed. i.e realtek for a realtek sound chip et,c.

Hello,sir my desktop has asus motherboard series P5GC-MX/1333. but now it suit problem specially in audio section. my realtek audio version is not installed .Can you solve my problem


HI, for these drivers do a google search on - realtek semiconductor corp - this will give you several sites to get the driver(s) - choose realtek.com.

Their page will give you menu options to access the drivers / downloads.

Asus P5GC-mx mother board with realtek sound issue


Hi Brother
I had that problem and it was difficult to resolve, which made me frustrated those Mother Board

But I after several tests and found the following tricks
1 - after the preparation of the system (Windows)
Put the CD in CD or DVD the system and careful, but do not process definition Automatic
Will go to Device Manager then drive up date LAN and Vega will work no problems
But the sound card will search in CD or DVD and not work then go to auto ran and install realtek audio and setup it and Follow the instructions then Restart the system

Has been the definition of sound

my mb p5gc-mx have problem with audio driver. each to install the audio driver. failure. I try to install with aother cd p5gc-mx. but afailure again. how to install the audio driver. so my audio can hear?

check the website for newest drivers if not you have to reinstall then install sp3 and hope your drivers work again. or just stick with sp2.

Asus pp5gcx motherboard-realtek hd audio driver" failed to install"from cd.


go to the support site for your motherboard, there you will get universal bus architecture device drive. Install this before you install the Audio/Sound driver.
