Download the demo version, then use your code to unlock it. You could also request a replacement CD, but they will want your receipt and registration info. Don't be surprised if they charge you for the replacement.

Install an operating system

You need to change boot options in BIOS. Press required F key during boot. Look on the screen since Function keys vary with systems. In boot options make optical drive (CD\DVD) 1st. Save and reboot. You should get "Press any key to boot from CD". Note: Some systems have an ad-hoc boot option during startup. Thus eliminating the need for BIOS change.

I want to run Win Server 2008 Enterprise edition on Dell Optiplex 360. I need the drivers for: NIC, Audio, Video. Thank you

Hello,

Verify that your hardware is compatiable to the Server NOC. (Most are 64-bit software which require 64-bit compatiable software. When you place the server dvd/cd in the 1st time, it will check your system to make sure it meets the minimum requirments for install. If you already have the server os installed, You have 2 chioces: 1. Microsoft Server drivers (Microsoft support) or 2: Download each vendor's drive to your system or portiable drive and install as the server os is installing. (it will ask for 3rd party drivers at the start of install.

Good Luck

Can not show the login screen. i selected safe mode to restart my PC at home but it does not get started. this happened after I installed SP3. Please provide assstance. thank you RTIKILI

ok.. this is going to take some time so make sure you have plenty, and also make sure you follow instructions. lastly I hope you have good back ups as messing something may likely required reinstallation of your os.
(note: if I were you I would try to install the os in another system with a hd enclosure and I will try to get all the files you need out of the hd before you attempt anything, that way if you mess something up you can just reinstall the os if needed)

(note. I would unplug everything you have hooked up to your computerbefore you start (leave it only with monitor, keyboard, mouse) and thenattempt to fix the problem as suggested)

now, take a deep breath.. and start:

my suggestion is to revert your windows back to the time before you installed windows xp3. the process is as follows:

1st.. install the recovery console
the instructions are here (you need a windows cd to do this and you need to install the recovery console from the cd)

2. attempt to do a system restore from the recovery console
the instructions are here (this a very critical step as you would be playing with the registry.. messing something up here will require to reinstall windows

3. make sure you are in fact ready to get install sp3:
read this

4. now try to download sp3 onto a cd and install from safe mode
the instructions and the download link are here

Good luck!

I have misplaced the software CD that came with my printer and so cannot install to my new laptop, can I find instructions on the web to use as an alternative? If so can you direct me to site. Cheers

Go to the manufacturers website, if its hp go to hp.com , click on thier support & troubleshooting link, check the drivers box and put the model number found on your printer into the model number box. http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html?pageDisplay=support .
it will then ask you whick operating system you want the drivers to work with. select the appropriete operating system and hit the arrow next to the box you just typed in to start the search.
download the one marked "driver" to your desktop so you can find it afterwards.
double click on it to open and follow the prompts. printer will be installed

My pc was doing this but now it's doing something different but simular

Try telling it to boot the CD instead of the disk for now, since you need to install from that...or perhaps a newer OS.
