Are you using a new tape or an old one? Is it possible that the tape is bad? Try another. Also, if possible, have a look into the tape handling area...is there anything in there that looks like it shouldn't? These units rarely have belts so I doubt that is a problem.

Frigidaire dishwasher

Hi faithwalker4 - Sounds like the dishwasher is experiencing a communication error with the control board or water valve issue. Technician will need to move forward accurately and either part will possibly need replacing.

DISHWASHER DOOR OPENS REAL HEAVY AND FAST

It sounds like your door springs are broken, at the top of the dishawasher you will find 2 screws that attatch it to the counter top, take them out and slide the dishwasher a few inches forward, this will allow you to see if your springs are broken. If so you can order new ones at marcone.com w/ your model #

We put in a new garbage disposal and now our dishwasher wont workit starts each cycle we suggest, but the water does not run and the cycle does not move forward

Hi, Does the drain hose for your dishwasher connect to the disposer ? If so, has the knock out for the drain tube in the disposer been "knocked out" ? Check that and reply. We'll move forward from there if need be. Good luck. Macmarkus :)

VCR take up reel suddenly does not turn (play, record, forward).

that is a common failure with VCRs.. you will see a rubber wheel that shifts between the two reels .. the rubber tire on that wheel becomes hard, contaminated or oxidised ... replacing the wheel is the best fix but you can try cleaning it .. dont use alcohol because that can remove the elastomers in the rubber ... you can use just water and a lintless cloth, or special cleaner for "idler wheels" .. you can also clean up the surface of the wheel with a common eraser .. if the rubber has become hard with age then the cleaning fix will only last a few months .. new idler wheels are avalible for popular brands but often not for others .. while you are cleaning the rubber idler, also clean the driven areas where they touch .on the take up and rewind spindles .. for really bad rubber idlers that cant be replaced .. there is a special high friction compound that can be applied .. unfortunatly this seems to only lasts a few months and then must be reapplied .. . if the rubber is soft and in good shape then usually just cleaning does the trick ...

It wont drain

Hi,
Your dishwasher may have food or lime/calcium buildup trapped inside it that may prevent it from draining properly, it could have a kink in its hose, or it may need a new part.
Here is a bit of about how the dishwasher types actually work, to give you a better idea of what you're dealing with and how to go about finding a solution to the problem:
The first thing you must do is figure out what style of D/W you have and a little of how it works so you can have a better understanding of what to look for. There are two basic designs, the direct drive dishwasher and the forward-reversing dishwashers. Direct drive dishwashers do not have to stop to drain the water will forward-reversing dishwashers The first thing you must do is figure out what style of d/w you have and a little of how it works so you can have a better understanding of what to look for. I think you will find that the heater has packed up.same thing has happened to my 14month old machine.
Waiting for the part to arrive approx £40 looks quite straight forward if you are a bit handy with tools
