You should know assembly langauge better and from the segment register you can read the higher order bit and the lower order bits which is logical address from those you can calculate by combining them

Mac adress lost

Makes no sense. It's part of the NIC and can not be changed. That's why it's referred to as the Physical Address.

Best guess is the NIC is bad.

A former e-mail address of mine (I no longer use) is being used by Marcus Smith and he is receiving e-mails to me. His e-mail address is msmith37@gmail.com. Mine is now marilynns37@gmail.com. HOW DO I...

There are a number of ways to get this corrected, each time consuming. Gmail will not help you since the address is a valid address and they have no way to filter the messages between your old and his email address
If the messages that are for you are meaningful, he will need to forward them to you so that you can change the receiving email address to your new address or unsubscribe. You will have to do this for approximately 2 months before the flow ceases after that he can respond to the emails to unsubscribe. With such a short email address, It is possible that if he changes email addresses, he could have the same problem. The moral is to make sure you have a failrly uniques address name of at least 8 characters. Sorry for the bad news.

May be 192.168.0.1 is not the address to configure that router.

Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt:

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.

ACPI BIOS attempting to read/write to an illegal IO port address (Ox75/Ox75) which lies in the Ox74-Ox76 protected address range.results in fault in booting. Any advice? Thanks

Check your hard drive for viruses.
If you are running a version of Windows, boot to safe mode and run an anti-virus program. Scan the whole hard drive.
If you do not have any anti-virus program, download or get one and scan the computer.

Cannot see 4 gb ram

Hi Ciccio8670,

If you are running 32-bit Windows, you must live with it. You will not ever see all 4GB of RAM you've paid for.
If you are running 64-bit Windows, you may have to live with it. Depending on your motherboard's chipset, your system may support memory remapping. If so, you will be able to use all 4GB of RAM.

Detailed:
Due to an architectural decision made long ago, if you have 4GB of physical RAM installed, Windows is only able to report a portion of the physical 4GB of RAM (ranges from ~2.75GB to 3.5GB depending on the devices installed, motherboard's chipset & BIOS). This behavior is due to "memory mapped IO reservations". Those reservations overlay the physical address space and mask out those physical addresses so that they cannot be used for working memory. This is independent of the OS running on the machine. Significant chunks of address space below 4GB (the highest address accessible via 32-bit) get reserved for use by system hardware: • BIOS – including ACPI and legacy video support • PCI bus including bridges etc. • PCI Express support will reserve at least 256MB, up to 768MB depending on graphics card installed memory
What this means is a typical system may see between ~256MB and 1GB of address space below 4GB reserved for hardware use that the OS cannot access. Intel chipset specs are pretty good at explaining what address ranges gets reserved by default and in some cases call out that 1.5GB is always reserved and thus inaccessible to Windows.
