You should know assembly langauge better and from the segment register you can read the higher order bit and the lower order bits which is logical address from those you can calculate by combining them

How to find mac address?


Ok here is the command for viewing MAC ADDRESS or you can say PHYSICAL ADDRESS

START---RUN----cmd--- here type 'ipconfig /all' (without the quotes). Did you notice there is a space in between ipconfig and /, so remember to do that.

Now it'll show you the list of all details.
Below is the Screenshot of the MAC address. The Physical Address and MAC address are the same, inside the yellow mark is MAC or Physical address.

What is mac address?


A Media Access Control address (MAC address) is a unique identifier assigned to network interfaces for communications on the physical network segment. Logically, MAC addresses are used in the Media Access Control protocol sub-layer of the OSI reference model.

MAC addresses are most often assigned by the manufacturer of a network interface card (NIC) and are stored in its hardware, the card's read-only memory, or some other firmware mechanism. If assigned by the manufacturer, a MAC address usually encodes the manufacturer's registered identification number. It may also be known as an Ethernet hardware address(EHA), hardware address, adapter address, or physical address.

I have 2002 pontiac grand am 2.2 liter. Car shut off while driving. It cranks over fine. Won't start due to no spark. Changed ignition control module crankshaft sensor and Coil packs still no cigar? No...


wow, you changed the ignition control module, crank sensor, and coil packs and no spark?

Take to an auto electric shop where they can test the wiring to see if there are any breaks between the sensors or parts you already invested in.

Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Operation The OBD 2 Engine Management System (EMS) computer can be a single computer comprised of several solid-state components or a multi-microcomputer device. This computer controls the functions of the EMS and performs OBD 2 diagnostic routines. These two distinct portions of the OBD 2 EMS computer function, in conjunction, with each other. The computer architecture and software design allows the OBD 2 EMS computer to adapt its operating strategies to a variety of conditions to optimize the EMS. Federal guidelines require the EMS OBD 2 computer to continuously monitor the operating conditions of the EMS. It must also record and report any system or component failure that may cause tailpipe emissions to exceed typically 1-½ times the federal test procedure.
The OBD 2 EMS computer is specifically designed to perform powertrain system management and monitoring. Regardless of the manufacturers design and implementation of operating strategies, all computers are designed and built following the same basic considerations.
All computers contain one or more microprocessor. Microprocessors are constructed of a complex arrangement of digital circuits. One microprocessor may contain upwards of 250,000 logic circuits. These are housed in a silicon-based integrated circuit (IC) no bigger than an area of approximately ¼ inch square. The microprocessor cannot perform calculations and decisions without instructions that are programmed into the computer’s memories.
IC Micro Processor One single microprocessor, called the Central Processing Unit (CPU), is dedicated to maintaining control over the entire computer. The CPU performs all of the calculations and logical decisions. Operating instructions for the CPU are preprogrammed into other memory locations and are ‘read-only’ programs. These programs are permanent and generally cannot be altered by service personnel in the field.
A program, in general, is a set of instructions arranged in a specific order to accomplish a specific task. Each instruction in the program is assigned to a specific location, or address within the computer’s memory. Only the address of where the instruction is stored is retained in the CPU. When the CPU requires information to perform a calculation, it looks for the address of the required data and then copies the data from the memory location. This copy is retrieved and temporarily retained by the CPU for processing. Retrieving programs in this manner ensures that the information programmed in memory is retained and does not change.
The following symptoms can be caused by an open, short to ground, short to power or excessive resistance in the power and ground circuits, data line communication malfunctions and /or component failure.

Bring up the properties page for the connection from the network connections page in windows. Click the Support tab. Click the Detaisl button. The top line is "Physical Address". That's the same as MAC address.

PROCESSOR HISTORY AND INFORMATION

INTEL 4004 - Microprocessor introduced in 1970 with the speed of 108KHz was the worlds first microprocessor.
INTEL 8080 - Microprocessor introduced in 1974 running at the speed of 2 MHz was used in the world's first PC, the Altair.
INTEL 8086 (Code Name: P1)- Microprocessor first introduced in 1976. The 80086 had a 16-bit architecture that allowed it to work with 16-bit binary numbers and pass them through a 16-bit data bus. The 8086 was available in clock speeds of 5MHz, 8MHz, and 10MHz.
MOTOROLA 68000 - Microprocessor released in 1979 was later chosen by Apple for the Macintosh computer.
INTEL 8087 - Floating-point math compressor compliant with the 8086 / 8080 microprocessor family.
INTEL 8088 - Microprocessor released in 1979. The 8088 was the first Processor used in the original IBM PC and XT personal computers because it was less expensive than the 8086 microprocessor because of the availability of less expensive eight-bit data bus supporting chips made it the microprocessor for the IBM PC. The 8088 was available in speeds from 4.77 MHz and 8MHz.and used the 16-bit architecture allowing it to work internally with 16-digit numbers. The 8088 had the ability of addressing up to 1MB of RAM.
INTEL 80286 (Code Name: P2) - Microprocessor introduced by Intel in 1982 which commonly is referred to as the 286 processor. The 286 processor supported 16-bit architecture, supported virtual memory, and was available in clock speeds of 8MHz, 10MHz, and 12MHz. The 286 was around 20 times faster than the predecessor 8088.
INTEL 80287 - A compliant processor to the 286, a floating-point math coprocessor. Specially designed 286 chips have the capability of placing the optional 80287 processor on top of it, giving the computer a math coprocessor.
INTEL 80386DX (Code Name: P3) - Microprocessor manufactured in 1985 was the next generation of Intel processors. The 80386DX included the math compressor, unlike the 80386SX, and still featured the 32-bit architecture and built-in multitasking. The chip was available in clock speeds of 16MHz, 20MHz, 25MHz, and 33MHz.
SPARC - Released in 1987 is short for Scaleable Processor ARChiture by Sun - used RISC (Reduced Instruction Set) to speed up processing.
INTEL 80486DX (Code Name: P4) - Microprocessor released April 10th 1989. The 486DX featured a built-in memory cache and 32-bit architecture. It had more than three times the computing power of the 386DX and was available in clock speeds of 25MHz, 33MHz, and 50MHz.
INTEL 80386SX - Microprocessor introduced in 1989 was the next generation of Intel processors. The 80386SX lacked a math coprocessor but still featured the 32-bit architecture and built-in multitasking. The chip was available in clock speeds of 16MHz, 20MHz, 25MHz, and 33MHz.
