RAS (Remote Access Service) is a Microsoft service that allows remote devices to connect to a server. This can be via the internet (Wide Area Network), Modem, or direct connect. Some non Windows Mobile PDAs use RAS to sync up with the server.

Unless there's a specific need for this service, it's not advisable to run it, as it becomes a vulnerability.

Function keys

If holding down Fn and the desired function key does not do what you are expecting then you likely need to re-install the Energy Management Software, you can download it from http://support.lenovo.com/en_GB/downloads/default.page?

I just want to know the key to press to function the CAMERA here in my sony vaio cr series?

there is no specific key for activating the webcam. You need a software program to use the webcam such as yahoo messenger or the stock software that came with the laptop.

You can find the software here:
http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=VGNCR490EBP

You could download a program to setup a hot key to start that software and display the webcam. A hot key is a key or series of keys that when pressed will do a specific function

Bought computer from someone told me everything good but now my time has run out and need a free actavation key

This sounds like you had software that was on a trial installation. You won't get a free activation key. You'll have to pay for the software. var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_0159e52d09c343e68df43da7f32b2bbf(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); } var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_714e7a31978d439ba5351da1b9306f05(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); }

Fix error 651 on windows 7

In windows 7, when you try to connect using your PPPoE connections, you may be faced with the following error: Error 651: The Modem (or other connecting device) has reported an error.
These connections would work just fine with Windows XP or Windows Vista PCs.
Again, you are not alone, this seems to be a known bug in Windows 7 that is being worked at. However, you can workaround this problem.
The RAS PPPoE driver file "raspppoe.sys" found under c:windowssystem32drivers folder seems to be the root cause of the problem. Fortunately, we can workaround the problem simply by renaming the original raspppoe.sys file to something like "raspppoe_orig.sys" copying a working file from a Windows Vista system. If you do not have access to a Windows Vista system. click here to download raspppoe.sys file (unzip). This should help!

If you have a product key, you can borrow the software from someone. Either that or call Microsoft and cry on their shoulder--but that probably won't work.
Keep looking for your software and, sorry to say, you are probably out of luck unless you can borrow some.

You have not install the correct version of drivers and software for your webcam so the when you plug in your device the PC will not detect the device and install the drivers & software needed for the device to function.

Error [721]: The remote computer did not respond

Use the router's public IP address for PPTP requests and simply forward PPTP (TCP 1723 & IP 47) requests to the internal servers. This solved our problem with connecting to the RAS server.
