It could be the ground wire, it is only used when the outlet in the house does not have a ground (3 prong). usually the wire is green and attached to the metal on the back of the machine.

Smart drive wont spin agitatator just goes back and forwards

Hi, possible that the program controller is faulty and is not executing the output when the wash cycle and the drain is done. So the program must advance further to the next stage to drive the motor to spin after the water is pumped off and the water level sensor is reset.
Have the conttroller checked to confirm the fault, look for loose joints in the connections.

Thank you.

What does f o5 code mean

F05 code is a water temperature sensor problem, It may be a broken wire at the plug for the heater, I'd recommend removing the back panel there is a plug (2 black wires) if i remember correctly ,one wire was just hanging there, board picks up on that causing sensor code, cut the plug in half and joined wire directly to heater terminal

Machine beeps continuously and display gives an E90 error code. What is wrong?

If this is a Zanussi washer then E90 indicates a communication error between the interface board (control panel) and the main circuit board. Unplug the machine from the power! and take the top off the machine, if you stand in front of the machine on the left side you should see the main circuit board along with a blue multi-wire cable going from it to the control panel (interface board). There is most likely a poor connection at one end or the other or maybe even both. This will generate an E90 error code. You need to remove the control panel by removing the screws located behind the soap drawer and also the plastic clips located along the top rail, disconnect the blue cable from each board one at a time and then plug back in making sure to firmly seat the connectors. These can become loose from miniscule vibrations from the machine operating. Put everything back together plug back in and it should work.

Washer is not washing not spinning, its not working, what part doest it need

Unless the washer is checked in detail the exact part cannot be confirmed as you are the witness to the fault.
However it is possible that the control panel, the main program controller and the main motor must be checked to confirm the status.
If the motor does not receive voltage check the program conttroller, if Yes the mpotor needs to be checked.
Dont forget to check the door switch which if faulty will not turn on the set.

When you push the start button it beeps but nothing happens. F&P pride is model

HI Richard sounds like your LID SWITCH is faulty.Turn the machine off at the wall and remove the 2 screws at the back of the top panel. Now gently lift the panel and rest it on the lid.It still has the display module wires attached. Now look to the right hand side of the computer and you will see a blue and black pair of wires leading under the hob and connected with another pair of wires that go under the computer. The blue and black wires are your lid switch wires. When the lid is closed they should have conductivity between them.Have you got or can borrow a multimeter to test the reed switch? If you have conductivity between the 2 wires then the machine will work when you push the start button but if the 2 wires do not have conductivity between them then the machine will only beep.Does the machine do nothing even on the spin cycle? Please reply on additional information and how you would like to proceed.Looking forward to your reply.

How to fix lid switch.

there are two screw you have to unscrew on the back panel and the you pull the panel up and foward then you will see the plug for the door switch and two gold clips on both side of the washer undo the clips and the pull the whole casing of the washer off and the door switch is under the casing or you can strip the wires back that are show and put a wire nut on it and i will work just fine but you will be able to open the lid while in a spin cycle so if you have little kids i would not do this but if not save the money and just tie the wire together.

Hotpoint ultima. recently changed belt but now have an error e02 coming up, any ideas on how to fix

Hiya,
F02 is a motor related fault, the correct terminolagy is; motor tacho open/short circuit, check motor/wiring and connections.

The most common reason for this is a bad connection or broken wire or last resort, module.
Remove the lower back panel and you will see the motor wires (white plug) there will be 7 wires, 2 of which are red or black, pull gently on the wires at the motor end, you will probable find one of the red/black wires will come off...
If they are all tight, check the external wires in the motor especially the ones that go to the rear of the motor (tacho) inspect those wires for damage..
Another common one is where the wires plug into the motor, this plastic holder sometimes comes loose and hangs from the motor, if this is the case, secure it back to the motor.

Hope this helps, Please rate my help. Thanks

Gentle annie motor wiring

This according to googled results, and somewhat verified by me:

For the Gentle Annie connect the white/orange/green wires together to from a
star point and the three other ends (red, yellow & blue) go to your 3 phase
rectifier.
You can leave the others hanging. Don't form the star point with the wire
that's green with a yellow stripe, that's the chassis earth. The brown,
purple, and brown with black stripe I think are sensing coils, with a star
point connected to the black wire. 1.4ohm each, whereas the main coils are
4.8ohm and apparently rated for 5A.

Kenmore elite oasis he washer

Lets start by pulling the plug on this machine and while your back there notice where the three screws are holding the console to the machine and remove them until the top comes off noticing how it latches front to back and the screws secure it. Now you will see on the right hand side a grey box, look for a white plug top side left with only two wires sitting by itself and unplug it. Then plug the machine back in and you should still have no power. Next the cable with blue wires connecting the console to the grey box needs to be unplugged. Now we will test that grey box as it supplies your console. The test is as this unplug power, unplug console( blue wires ) then the next step is to plug the white plug with the thick dual black wires in. You should hear it cycle through all the valves, door lock and bump the tub. If this works and after you plug in the console and no power, guess what? Need to replace the console. Ps the plug with the grey sheath by the console blue wires is your door lock:) Write back if you need any help.
