I have a WD 500Gb External Hard drive E-Book. If the power inverter board has failed - how do I replace it? I have searched for the part number (p/n 4060-705002-001rev.a) but no response. What...

You can't replace it, there are no replacement parts for it. If something failed you replace the entire case. So just get a new one from here
http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=92&name=External-Enclosures
Just match the size and type of your hard disk - in your case an 3,5" and SATA.

If you have difficulty in finding a place of spare parts for your external hdd,
1) The most simple you go to your nearest computer store, they will manage it for you.
2) you can find parts and spares center for your hardware at ebay.com. (Rejister for your state, Australia)

and the last option

you can send your hard disk ecternal to me, because I have to do the repairs computer hardware, but costs a bit expensive because you have to send it to me in Malaysia.

thanks and regards

I accidentally plugged a 19V adapter to my 12V WD 1.5TB Hdd, now the hdd is dead

You'll have to hope that you have only blown a fuse on your HD Drive. other wise you will have to buy a new one. Have it checked by a tech and see if the HD itself can still be salvaged.

St3500320as bios not detect,i am using it as external hdd, once i used wrong power supply (original 12V, wrong 19V)and after that it was no detectable  in bios anymore, i can see some places on board...

I'm not sure I understand you correctly but this is what I think.
You tried to use the drive in an external case and the power supply was 19v. The drive really needs 12v. When you put it back inside a PC the bois does not detect it.

Id say it is destroyed. Do not wast you time with it.
If you think it is burned then it probably is.

Mistakenly plugged maxtor one touch 2 into wrong power adapter

Well Most Likely The Circuit Board Burnet Out Since Its 12V And When Plugged Into A 19V Supply It Will Burn Out Instantly Because It Over Charges The Circuits. So Its Not Possible To Repair Such Damage But You Can Take Out The Hard Drive And Plug IT Into A Desktop Computer And Use It At Home Or As An Online Hard Drive To Store Files

Fried HD?

Yep, it's probably fried, a little too much juice went in.
While the drive itself might be ok, the external casing is another story.

Try opening the case and removing the HD and plugging that in on your PC directly as a slave drive.
