Blank screen

Did it boot all the way? Do you hear the fan running, disk drive spinning? If it sounds like it booted but the display is black, try this:
When you press the power button do you hear fansrunning, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lightsconstantly blinking, hear the DvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer ofthe DvD/CD turn on for a second or two? If so the laptop is trying toboot or may have booted, but the screen is not showing for some reason.

Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with thelaptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issuewhen you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous.

Epia-ME6000G when i apply power i get a beeping and i have no video output throught the VGA.

Hello, the beeping is actually a fault code, ie short beep, long beep etc, a bit like morse code. You can get a list of what these codes mean if you google 'bios beep codes' . It means your bios has detected a basic error with the hardware and is trying to tell you what's wrong! It could be anything from memory gone bad to faulty graphics card or keyboad error, you'll have to look at the list and try to equate the codes to what you're hearing from your system. I have a Gigabyte 8s648FX-RZ MB system. When I power it on the fans work but a hear a loud beeping like a phone ring. It is constant except for a pause every couple of seconds. No display and I don't hear...

This is a POST (Power on self test) failure. Check your power supply and memory. Also try removing all add in cards and powering up. Could be an add in card has failed and causing the POST to fail.

Every thing is working fine but no display as i changed the display & also checked the same display on another set it is working ok changed display ic but still same problem

Power off your computer and remove the smps 24 pin connector to the motherboard and short the green and black pin and see if the SMPS is working if not replace the smps.
Remove memory from the memory slot and switch on the computer if you hear beeps clean the memory or change it with new one that fixes the memory slot
If no beeps by removing the memory then remove the processor fan and clean it with soft cloth and apply thin layer of heat sink compound and switch on the computer
If you still not hear the beeps then change the processor
If still no beeps take the motherboard to a chip level Technion the secondary power supply or the clock, reset etc in the mother board has gone wrong or not producing them

I was previously surfing the net using Chrome and I had opened many many tabs.. My laptop (Fujitsu Lifebook S Series - S6420) then hung/hannged and I couldn't do anything so I held down the power button to...

Your beep codes are..
1 short beep System is OK
2 short beeps POST Error - error code shown on screen No beep Power supply or system board problem Continuous beep Power supply, system board, or keyboard problem Repeating short beeps Power supply or system board problem
1 long, 1 short beep System board problem
1 long, 2 short beeps Display adapter problem (MDA, CGA)
1 long, 3 short beeps Display adapter problem (EGA)
3 long beeps 3270 keyboard card .
So looks like a display problem, have you tried any of the recovery/restore options available when you press F8 on boot up

Blank display, machine seems to boot ok but display is blank.

If you hear your computer beep once then your system has no problem. If it does'nt show a display, try to check the power of your monitor, if it has power. Check the power cords and also the vga connection.

1) Switch Off the UPS and unplug all Loads (like System, Monitor etc.) from UPS.
2) Switch Off the AC Power (Input Power to UPS).
3) Press the UPS Power Switch constantly unless you hear 2nd BEEP Tone. As soon as you are hearing 2nd BEEP Tone, Release the Power Switch.
4) This is COLD START of all APC UPS that will reset any internal problem.
5) If, however, the problem persists, contact APC.

I could not access BIOS or anything else on my computer.

Starting the PC without memory will result in a ?beep code? error, which is the beeping you are hearing. Replacing the memory should make the beeping go away. As far as accessing your BIOS if you PC won?t display anything they accessing your system BIOS won?t accomplish anything. -When you start your PC with the memory installed do you see anything displayed on the screen? -Was the PC operating correctly before your reinstall? -Why did you void the CMOS? -Why did you remove the PC memory?
