Run Windows update and bring your machine current. It may take a number of reboots and windows updates before it is complete.

Usually you get this because an update failed.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Problem with Windows 8.1 updates.

Windows 10 will only install if you have all the earlier updates
sometimes hundreds of updates are missed.
even if it says no upgrades and is green
always click on check for updates, service packs and versions of internet explorer will be installed, However if you dont want to see the upgrade to 10 you can always turn off auto updates and check yourself when you have the time to install them yourself.

Pop up saying you have a virus, i try to go online, or into properties and it keep saying, wmiadap.exe is infected. It always pop up to buy antivirus software.

It seems as if you have downloaded a spyware program such as a wallpaper which has caused you to have a fake antivirus 2009 running. Make an Ultimate Boot CD and run every AV tool and spyware/malware that was on the CD. After running all the tools install your XP SP2 CD to repair the installation Download and run hijack this to see if still have the virus lurking on the computer.

Whenever you download anything from internet that is sent to the temp folder. Win XP limits the temp folder size which can always be increased by the user. You are simply required to increase the temp folder limitation size.

How do i download themes for windows vista basic and where do i download them to?

HI,

You can download them free from this site:
http://vista-themes.net/
Kindly note that it is always advised to have an antivirus on the computer to ensure safe internet browsing experience.

Once you have selected the theme that you require, download and save it on any folder you may desire.
Once the download is finished, go to the location of the file and execute the theme file.
It may start an installer, allow it.
once the theme is installed,
Goto control panel.
click "personalization"
Then Click on "Theme".
you will find a pop up window. In that window click the Theme Drop down.

Select the newly installed file and it will change the layout of your computer.

Once done, dont forget to click "Apply" and then "OK".

Hope this works for you.

Best Regards,
Techno-Geek.

Hey,
try to use Windows Installer CleanUp Utility to fix the problem:
http://tinyurl.com/45x45

or try this solution from Microsoft:

  1. Click Start and then click Run.
  2. In the Open box, type Regedit and then click OK.
  3. Locate and select the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common
  4. Select the UserData DWORD value for the above key.
  5. On the Edit menu, click Rename.
  6. Rename the UserData DWORD value to UserDataOld.
  7. Find the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common
  8. Find the following value: OSAShortcut. If it does not exist, create it. On the Edit menu, click New and then click Dword. Name the value OSAShortcut, and then set the value to 1.
  9. On the Registry menu, click Exit.
  10. Start any Office program.NOTE: The same Windows Installer dialog boxes appear one more time.

  11. When you are prompted, type your name and initials in the User Name dialog box, and then click OK.
good luck :)
