Hold down the silver side button in the upper left hand corner of the phone for 3 seconds. It will turn off. You can then turn it on the same way. Otherwise you can pull the battery out if it's locking up.
had the same issue, its most likely the battery. i've read if you're not using the right charger designed specifically for the HTC Dash, then whatever charger you're using can overcharge and eventually kill your battery. I bought an all new battery off ebay for 12 bucks and ordered a new charger for another 10, solved my problem right away.
You're correct. It doesn't sounds like the Dash is charging. At the very least, it doesn't sound like the Dash is charging properly. If you've got a T-Mobile store near by, you might want to stop by and see what they have to say.
(Note: the Dash battery has a tendency to go bad after about 12-14 months, so it may be as simple as a battery replacement. Worst case scenario, it could be a dead charging port on the device.)
How to re-est T-mobile dash if you forgot security password !!!!!!! first turn off your device, then keep press both tow minus - - button (under neath screen ) and the mean time press one time power button then release the button after that when screen comes up press green call button one time. then wait for complete the process and then after finish press ok .remeber your all personal deta will be erase after the reset . best regards
